Will The Lord Come Anytime Soon?
“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14 NKJV). Also, “Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20 NKJV). Naturally, the hardest thing for people to overcome is our inability to be patient and wait (Exodus 32:1; 1 Samuel 13:11-12).
Vision From Claudia: I received a Vision from the Lord on the 24/01/2020. I saw myself being at school with many other learners around me enjoying lunch break. Suddenly, I heard a very LOUD ear deafening Thunder as if it was a warning. I saw all the unsaved people everywhere screaming and running and as they were running the earth opened underneath them and they would fall while screaming and being terrified into the deep dark holes (Numbers 26:10). While the vision was being shown to me the Lord urged me to record what I saw saying "this is a message for all to be ready". End!
Brethren, let us rejoice in patience as we are waiting for our redemption. As a family, we believe the Lord Jesus Christ is Coming in our life-time! Again, as the Lord provides these visions and messages we will share in love in Jesus name with the hope to encourage and get many ready for the Lord's soon coming.
Important Observation! It is a fact, some Christians are just tired of waiting for the coming of the Lord so they imagine rapture dates and sadly some brethren are led into believing these false rapture dates. We are repeating the Lord is coming like a thief (Revelations 16:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:2) and we HEARD FIRST HAND FROM THE LORD JESUS HIMSELF THAT HE WILL PUNISH THOSE WHO SET DATES BECAUSE IT DESTROYS THE FAITH OF MANY. The Consequences of Bad Choices
From the latter Scriptures above, we read how the people involved acted impulsively, fearfully and out of uncertainty which led them to sin and suffer terrible consequences in the process for their impetuous efforts. If they waited humbly and with patience they would have inherited great blessings which would have change the course of their destiny and for the greater benefit of their descendants (1 Samuel 13:13-14; Exodus 32:33-35).
Humanly, it is often tempting to disregard the Lord’s warnings and commands and substitute it with what we think is best and from the experience of Saul and the children of Israel the end result did not favour their well-being. The point we are making here is, if we overstep God’s authority and follow our own counsel, we will reap the consequences of our impatient choices. We must bear in mind though, that the consequences of disobedience are irreversible (Numbers 20:12; 2 Samuel 12:11-12).
Many would argue and say, “but I asked the Lord to forgive me”, good! So did David (Psalm 51) but he suffered the consequences (see 2 Samuel 15 to 20). We may also put it this way, the Lord will willingly forgive us but we will have accept the consequences of our wrong actions. As an example, the apostle Paul repented of his sins but the consequences of his previous convictions followed him (Acts 9:15-25).
Too often, some Christians are blinded by their own mistakes and by avoiding to accept the consequences, they start complaining bitterly and are just about ready to give up on their faith. My work in the ministry has helped me observe why some people complain, suffer and backslide. Upon a closer examination of their past habits and some of their choices, we have been able to see exactly why they are in the mess they found themselves in. When we engage with them, we ask questions and our exercise of asking relevant questions is simply to determine how the person arrived at the problem they are facing, and to help them identify the mistake that led to the problem, which should lead them to repent, and apply the Word of correction leading them receive deliverance with peace of mind (James 4:1-3).
Finding Peace through Christ and Nowhere Else
Apart from material possessions, no Christian or non-Christian can claim to have a perfect and trouble free life, never in this world! We are all somewhat ever engaged in finding some kind of solution(s) for the problems we face. As we scout for solutions we see that some people from all walks of life choose either of the following:
- Being a Christian will naturally lead us in prayer to God for whatever help we need, and like I indicated above, did we identify our own mistakes that led us to the problem and are we genuinely repentant? (2 Samuel 12:13; Luke 15:18-20) and if so, are we willing to accept the consequences of our actions (1 Chronicles 21:17) and allow God to carve out a new journey based on a humble and an improved relationship with Him (Luke 15:20-24).
- Sadly but true, non-Christians often overlook the consequences of sin being the cause of their problems and they consequently live with the problem. Being without peace as a reward for knowing Christ (John 14:27), they substitute it by employing other sins of pleasure like alcohol, drugs, and engaging in lustful entertainment. This ends in a vicious and repetitive cycle until the person realises his or her conscience state and seeks and finds rest in the Saviour from sin and destruction (Matthew 11:28).
- With the advent of many technological advancements, people look for solutions in science, while this provides possible solutions it is limited and over dependence on science leads us away from God thus contradicting the nature and order of things in creation (Romans 1:25; Psalm 104:27; 145:15).
- Others, in a desperate attempt to eradicate the afflictions of the day, skilfully examines the past for possible answers and if they can’t find remedy they long for the past (Numbers 14:4; Isaiah 43:18). Brethren, our past footsteps have been erased and despite the good we enjoyed then, we have a future in Christ to look to “…which was established upon better promises” (Hebrews 8:7 KJV). As a reminder, God has set our journey through life to happen once (Hebrews 9:27), and we come across the various intersections (life’s experiences) once and these should better equip us to make the right decisions every time. If we fail, God is willing to pick us up (1 John 1:9) and put us on a new path (2 Corinthians 5:17) warning us never to take the journey back (Deuteronomy 17:16).
Finally, we should remember for our Heaven journey, we are encouraged to endure (Matthew 24:13) while we patiently awaits for our redemption. The word of God says, “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him” (Hebrews 10:36-38).
