Waking Up From Leading A Double-Life
“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NIV).
Claudia Update: As a family and ministry, we would like to thank everyone who prayed for us for during our time of trial. Indeed, it was a rough week we took her to hospital last week Monday, discharged Wednesday and back to hospital Friday 10 April 2020 (Easter Friday) and discharged again early Saturday morning with no improvement to her health condition or any diagnosis as they ruled out meningitis after running some tests. This then leaves only one source the devil as the Lord said, please continue to pray for her!
Announcement: We are praying asking the Lord to if we can run our articles twice per week as we have traditionally been posting articles once a week for the last eight (8) or more years. After knowing the Lord's mind on this matter we will report back and commence work without delay.
Let me share the word the Lord gave me during the early hours of yesterday (12 April 2020) morning. In fact this word from the Lord is the reason for our message today. I had a vision from the Lord where He displayed a note to me to convey to a brother and an active minister and the following words were written there, “For My son D… You must no more take devil’s breaks, and you must obey the word of the Lord by making a financial contribution to the ministry”. what the Lord simply means is that the brother was in the habit of back-sliding and repenting thus taking a devil's break by leading a fully committed sinful life.
We have the Lord and brother’s full blessing to share his message here to encourage and warn! Now, let me give some background information. This precious brother confessed that he lived a double-life in public life or semi-Christian lifestyle. While our brother D put up a fight in prayer daily for his deliverance, the moment the devil set the trap(s) which lured him into sin he would oblige and succumb (2 Timothy 2:26; Genesis 3:6).
Finally, his breakthrough came when he went on a ten (10) day fast while praying and the Lord honored his faith and commitment by blessing him with the message above which has placed him on a path of a life-changing experience with Christ our Lord. According to our brother D, the overwhelming pleasure of the sins he enjoyed was soul penetrating and it felt he will never win the battle against it. Brethren, let me caution you in love, the Lord said while His grace is always sufficient for us not many people have the faith and strength to make a comeback (James 1:8).
Wilful Sinning Is Addictive
At best, such “Christians” are sitting on the fence they can speak up a storm in terms of the bible. As it is, these brethren does not lack faith, they lack zeal and live a lie. Their faith is as empty their actions (James 2:14) and they keep on repenting over and over for the same offence, why? I know, because they have never been delivered in the first place from the sin(s) that control them (Romans 6:12).
Deliverance From The Angle Of Disobedience
Furthermore, my dear brothers and sisters, I have news for you, with God no sin has a measure and the Lord shows no partiality when dealing with people, when we call upon Him in repentance, He will forgive no matter the offence (Jeremiah 15:19) except of course when we blasphemy the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31). Therefore, please do not have your hopes high that God will deal with a brother or sister who sinned against you if they made right with God, they will be saved and you stand the risk of losing your own salvation for being grudgingly and unforgiving (Matthew 6:15; Acts 7:59-60; Matthew 18:21-22; Luke 17:3-4). Having being rebuked personally by the Lord, I once tried complaining to God about my wife not willing to forgive but trying to get back to her through the Lord, He ended up giving me a sharp rebuke not overlooking how I acted provocatively (Genesis 3:12-19) and that happened to me twice. It means, if I overlooked her offences and corrected her I also would have received mercy. As we can see, the Lord takes no sides but metes out justice fairly. Indeed God takes no brides, respects no persons and He is a Righteous Judge (Deuteronomy 10:17).
The Coming Darkness
If you would like to receive God's forgiveness and be set free from the guilt of sin, and be born again please pray using this suggested prayer, our
Blessed Regards
Brother Glenn
