How The Lord Confirmed His Promise

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6 NKJV).

On December 12, 2016, we originally shared this article and we noticed not many Christians read this testimony which we believe could help countless brethren receiving breakthroughs. Since we focused on prayer in our last article, it is pleasing to the Lord to share this message again as commanded by the Lord for your edification. Now in order to receive a breakthrough, we only need to take faith with us which would help us develop patience, persistence, perseverance and humility. Generally, Christians are struggling with issues of faith and confidence in the Presence of God.

Briefly, this might be a slightly lengthy article, but we have attempted to be to the point. As you know, the Lord commanded us to share this testimony to encourage the brethren that He is still answering prayers and those who ask must believe (Matthew 21:22). Sometime ago, the Lord revealed to us repeatedly that we must be persistent and consistent in our prayers and pray until our requests are granted (Colossians 4:2-6; Luke 18:1-8).

Briefly, over the years that we received messages and visions from the Lord, certain revelations and things about the future would not have made sense had we shared it immediately. In fact, neither did some of it make sense to us then but we believed it, and like John the Baptist’s father, we only understood the reality of the prophecy when it reached its fulfillment (Luke 1:20; 62-66). You may also have noticed recently that we only shared some major prophecies the Lord gave us some months or even years after they were given. Why? With some revelations, the Lord forbid that we share it immediately until He commands us to, and other revelations that we don't understand, we would pray for understanding before sharing it to avoid people being confused and blaming us as false. Sadly, though, there were, unfortunately, some people who gave their own interpretation to some things we shared, and they subsequently accused us of being false. It is foolhardy to suggest something is false if you simply don’t believe it, and also declaring a Word from the Lord as false when it still needs fulfillment is equally foolish (Jeremiah 28:9; Deuteronomy 18:21-22).

Ministry Need for a Prayer House

We have already shared how this ministry started, and we did mention that we operated from our living room for our home church services and our prayer meetings. Furthermore, we also mentioned that the Lord did not allow children in our intercessory prayer meetings so that we may not be disturb during prayers. Briefly, there was one occasion when it rained heavily, and after we had returned from witnessing, we decided to pray without taking the children to my mother in law’s house which is quite a distance from where we live. That evening, we heard the Lord thundering and our children were all awaken by that sound, and some of them came running in where we were praying. This act was very displeasing to the Lord, after rebuking us saying that our prayers for that evening did not make it to Heaven, He commanded that we redo the prayers the following day. When the Lord commanded us not to allow children in our prayer meetings, He specifically said, “The prayers are holy and must be kept safe.” In a later revelation to us, the Lord revealed that angels come with baskets and usher our prayers into the Presence of God (Revelations 5:8). Therefore, the problem with our children (including some ministry member’s children) and our lack of a proper dedicated prayer house led us to earnestly plead with the Lord to bless us with a prayer house.

Thus, during April 2012 as a ministry we deliberated on the problems we had, and after our discussions, we all agreed that we needed to trust the Lord to bless us with a prayer house (Matthew 18:19). Our need was genuine it was not based on some ambitious plan but on a true concern to obey the Lord in keeping our prayers private and without disturbance (Matthew 6:6).

How Satan Opposed us

We can assure you brethren; the devil has his people everywhere and they work tirelessly to oppose the work of God (2 Corinthians 12:7; Matthew 16:23). We will share further below how the devil opposed us and how we had to overcome him to receive God’s promise (1 Thessalonians 2:18). After failing to have our prayer house plan approved by the local authorities during July 2012, and after having spent a lot of money on the building project, we gave up (but not on prayer) on ever getting our prayer house plan approved with red-tape, excuses, and unnecessary delays. As we continued praying, our neighbor's next door reported to us during August 2013 that they were moving out and I immediately prayed asking the Lord to bless us with the house and a few evenings I had a dream that the Lord was going to bless us with that house. This dream was a great faith motivator, with our following prayer meeting, I encouraged the brethren to trust the Lord with my family and me for the house next door, and we decided to go on a one-day fast. Glory to the Lord in the highest Heaven, He answered giving both Charis, Jaydeen visions that He has granted our request. The reception of these visions, which we have voice recorded filled our hearts with unspeakable joy which lifted our spirits with faith to continue praying and trusting the Lord.

Enduring Test Before God’s Promises Realise

Let me confidently state, no blessing from God has ever come without a test. Although God promised Abraham a future blessing of being a father of many nations while he was childless (Genesis 17:1-6), his faith was tested when he suddenly had to sacrifice his son Isaac (Genesis 22:1-2) through whom the promise of God was linked. Abrahams' faith was unshaken, and this did not deter him from trusting God (Hebrews 11:19).

Likewise, the Bible says Jacob was promised with greatness with the same blessings Abraham received (Genesis 27:27-29). However, before he inherited God’s blessings, he had to endure 20 years of hard labor (Genesis 31:38-41) and living as a pilgrim in the promised land, but he considered God faithful to deliver on His promises (Genesis 48:3-4). Additionally, young Joseph, who was favored by God and promised to be master and ruler of his father’s children (Genesis 37:7-8), had to endure every kind of test and hardship before he was appointed ruler of Egypt (See Genesis 37, 39, 40 and 41). Similarly, God tested the children of Israel to measure their obedience towards Him before they could enter the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 8:1-2). We know that through war, death and rebelliousness some received the promise while others did not, but God’s promises were fulfilled through those who believed, endured and obeyed Him (Joshua 23:14-15).

Our Struggle Against Satan and Discouragement

Accordingly, as a ministry, we had to endure test as well. This experience and some other experiences have taught us that God’s promises do not always have an obvious occurrence. As we demonstrated on the above scriptural references, God allowed the devil room to sow doubt, confusion, and emotional pain to test our faith and as we obey and endure we overcome and receive what God promised (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). As I alluded above, the people who moved out of the property we intended purchasing refused to sell it to us after numerous requests.

Instead, things seemed to turn against us; two different families moved into the property God promised us with the option of buying it. Now this could have turned any believer into doubting God’s promise since one of the occupants planned in buying the house. What was worse, we did not have the financial means to make an offer, we simply just had faith and our prayers. However, knowing what was going to happen, and how timely He is, the Lord worked in the heart of a very dear and humble sister whom the Lord described as being a faithful servant who has a heart of love for Him and His work to help us financially.

Furthermore, after one of the occupants could not raise the money to buy the property, it was sold on auction during July 24, 2014. After asking the Lord in prayer through Charis, He did not answer if we could approach the new ‘owner’ to buy it from him, but we thought we should use our faith and negotiate with the person who bought the property from the auction. The decision to enter into a contract with the new ‘owner’ seemed to be a deal from hell. He was a conman Satan used to defraud us of our money (John 10:10) and the prayer house. The joy of finally acquiring the prayer house after the previous hurdles like our building plans that were disapproved and the potential buyers and occupation of the promised property all just disappeared in great sadness, regret and unbelieve. After numerous prayers and requests through Charis, He just said, “how to know that God is testing you”. Honestly, this served as little comfort and encouragement to us, with some people even doubting and ridiculing our decision.

Brethren, as bad as this turned out, the Lord was using this bad experience to humble and make us dependent on Him. We fully turned to the Lord to in prayer to deliver us from the mess we found ourselves in, with our money gone and so the dream of our prayer house. (There will be a follow-up article as we are still involved in a civil matter with the fraudster, the outcome of which the Lord already showed to be in our favor) However, we rallied in prayer and fasting, and the Lord took the property of the hands of the fraudster giving us another opportunity to buy it. As a ministry, we decided to go on one-day fast and Monday 23 May I received a visit from an Angel of the Lord in a vision, and he said that the Lord had given us the property (Acts 27:23-25). Praise the Lord; I encouraged the brethren with this message knowing the Lord was encouraging us to be focused on Him and believe. After accepting an invitation, on May 26, 2016, we (My wife and I) attended the auction of the property not knowing Satan has arranged for the entrances to and out of the area to be closed through violent protest; please read the full story on the links provided below. After unsuccessful attempts to get out of the area, and by then our desperation had turned into worry that we would not be able to make it on time. My wife and I together with our children prayed, pleading with the Lord to open a way out for us and after we had made a telephone call to someone, he informed us that there was a direction out of the area. The alternative route was all rocky and difficult to drive on but glory to the Lord we ‘escaped’ and entered through this difficult road after securing the property at the auction. Without being exaggerative, we were met with stiff competition at the auction for this was not an easy experience. We were opposed and intimidated by some experienced people who threatened to reverse the decision if we could not come up with all the money needed (1% of the total auctioned value of the property) and we did not have all the cash. They allowed no exceptions and with potential buyers still waiting outside for the decision to be reversed against us, the Lord granted us a favor and I were allowed to transfer the difference right there into the account of the sheriff. After having survived a scare with a daring, desperate faith, my wife and I could only exclaim, ‘THANK YOU LORD, what a victory after all our struggles!’

Having secured the property, we were given two weeks to come up with the balance of the full auction price. Knowing that we did not have the full balance, we again turned to the Lord, and He provided assistance and on December 2, 2016, we received the property title deed closing a painful experience and struggle against the devil in the acquisition of our prayer house.

In conclusion, we know that many Christians fail to receive an answer to prayer, in fact, many quits after being intimidated by circumstances the devil presents. Through this article, the Lord is encouraging you never to give up and persevere even when things seem against you. Don’t allow the disguise of the situation to intimidate you, the enemy fashions it that way to create fear, doubt, and discouragement in you and once he succeeds in doing that, you lose out on the promise (Numbers 13:31-33). Therefore, work with God on your problem, be on His case by being persistent for this is pleasing to the Lord and He will grant your request.

Being Faithful

Craving Worldly Things

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14 NIV).

Today, I am being reminded of the life of a young man Silva (not real name) I met in the early 1990’s in the Lord. According to him, he had to endure a great deal of personal battles against the cravings and dictates of the flesh. Being a young man in his early 20’s he recalled how his eyes were opened to all the pleasures and lusts around him (1 John 2:16) and how irresistible all these were to him, and he greedily feast on all the lusts his eyes beheld (Ecclesiastes 2:10). However, the brother had to constantly remind himself that in the Lord he is a new creation and that although "I have the right to do anything, but not everything is beneficial [and] I will not be mastered by anything” (1 Corinthians 6:12). Right now in your life, are you allowing things to master you?

Furthermore, and as a known fact, every Christian’s innocence in the Lord is being tested and measured (Genesis 3:1-7; 22:1-2; 39: 1-10; Matthew 4:4), harsh as it may appear. Our fear, love and faithfulness to God must shine forth like some of these men including our Lord Jesus proved except for Adam and Eve. As it is, our inclusion in Christ through the re-born experience has placed a very high obligation on us to resist the devil’s advances and be steadfast in our commitment (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Readiness To Serve Equals Readiness To Meet The Lord (Vision Warning)

The Lord left us an example when He said that He came to serve and indeed we all know that He came to serve (Matthew 20:28) and His motivation was love to add meaning to our being. As we serve in the Lord, we give meaning to the value of our salvation giving expression to our faith and hope (1 Peter 3:15).

Recently, a very faithful brother in the Lord whom we know and enjoys a close relationship with shared with me how the Lord showed Him a powerful vision of the coming rapture. In the vision, he was shown in lightning speed or in a twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52) the happening of the Rapture, it was so amazingly fast and without warning that by the time he realised the Rapture had happened he made a final attempt to repent but he realised it was too late and all he was left with was regret. Consequently, the brother vowed to continue serving and be busy in the Lord’s affairs as a faithful servant who waits upon the appearance of His Saviour (Matthew 24:46).

Being Steadfast

Additionally, not only are we encouraged to be ready for the Lord’s appearing (Matthew 24:42), we need to keep a faithful and pure heart at all times (Matthew 5:8; Psalm 51:10). Let us divide the Word of Truth rightly (2 Timothy 2:15), we all know of Christian brethren who are simply addicted and in bondage to bitterness and they disobey and end the day without making right with their fellow brothers and sisters (Ephesians 4:26) and sadly, the vision of the brother above could serve costly to such unprepared Christians. We thus encourage you, when you have sinned or made a wrong decision as a Christian and the Holy Spirit convicts you, own up to your mistake and repent right there why wait and walk away with the guilt to be caught unawares by the Lord’s sudden appearance (Acts 3:19; Matthew 3:2). Therefore, against all odds rally your faith and summon your courage, with the full measure of your soul’s strength revere the Lord, obey Him and attain eternal salvation at His sudden appearance.

The Lord Forgives So We Must Also Forgive

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Note: Brethren, please don’t take offense when I use some of my own or other people’s experiences when presenting the Lord’s messages. The Lord taught us that the best way of getting the message across is to demonstrate, through our experiences, our wrong conduct and how through our failures we applied His Word and received correction. I honestly don’t seek to promote myself or any other person, but to make our message simple, personal and applicable. Our aim is therefore not to be "theological" in our message, but to identify ourselves as sinners who apply the Word of God by faith to experience His truth, love and forgiveness.

Forgiveness Involves Confessing Our Sins to God

When I was about 10 years old or younger, I heard from my elder sisters and other children that walking in the rain would wash my sins away and that if I were to die I would go to Heaven. Being at that tender age, I also heard from elderly people that swearing, stealing, lying and fighting, which are common sins in this age group, were sinful. As a boy, I was always conscious about the wrong things I did and how to overcome feelings of guilt.

Furthermore, during my teenage years, I noticed how some Catholic folk made the "sign of the cross" and I thought this was a way of prayer and asking for God’s protection and favor. After observing that and having gone to some Catholic church services, I started doing the same, hoping that by so doing it might grant me protection and favor with others. You may laugh! But I had my successes in this practice, and I also had my misfortunes. My participating in that religious practice as a boy was based on ignorance and lack of true faith, thinking that I could earn God’s favor and forgiveness simply by making the sign of the cross sign and saying a three-sentence prayer line.

Furthermore, since this was really all I knew about "being right with God", I grew up doing this and believing that was the way of salvation. I honestly and ignorantly thought I was right and that I was not going to share my "secret" with anyone, despite the many challenges I experienced, including a suicide attempt to get my Aunt Lily’s (see Salvation Received on Deathbed article) attention; this resulted in me getting a very good spanking for my egocentric efforts.

As it is, I parted ways with my practice in February 1990, when I started reading the Bible for myself and thereafter made a commitment to Christ. Without repeating my testimony, I read in Romans 10:9-10 on how to make a confession of faith and forgiveness, accepting Christ as Savior (1 John 1:9). This experience was very real as peace from the Lord Jesus Christ filled my conscience, leaving me guilt-free. This is when I really knew I was saved. Like we said previously, the born again experience is by faith and the accompanied joy from the Lord is only known by the person being saved. The unbelieving, doubters, skeptics, agnostics and atheists must first experience by faith this joy before slandering our Christian experiences as illusions and wild imaginations.

How Do We Ensure God’s Eternal Forgiveness?

In the Old Testament, the Lord required animals to be offered for the people’s sins, and once a year God commanded Aaron to take two (2) goats from the people to atone for their sins; one (1) to be killed as a sin offering and the other one (1) for Aaron to lay his hands on and confess all the sins of the people of Israel to God. The goat (or "scapegoat") carried all their sins on itself to a place where there were no people (Leviticus 16:15, 20-22). But under the new covenant, Christ took all our sins upon Himself through His death, resurrection and shedding of blood (Isaiah 53:5-6, 12). As the Bible says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Since Christ died and rose again for our sins, we are required to humbly confess and repent of our sins. There is no blessing for those who hide sin, but there is mercy for those who confess and renounce their sins (Proverbs 28:13; Psalm 103:12).

After experiencing God’s forgiveness of our sins, we have a duty as Christians to obey and walk in the new life (Colossians 3:5-10; Ephesians 4:17-32). Our acceptance of the Lord was an acknowledgment that we are guilty before Him through the condemnation of our conscience accusing us of sin (Romans 2:15). Therefore having confessed, we promised or vowed to God that we will no longer do the wrongs we did before with an attitude of willful disobedience (Psalm 19:13). If we confess, the Lord does grant us forgiveness; if we ask, He forgives without reservations. I am going to share some experiences some of us had in this ministry as a way of demonstrating that our willful sinning hurts the Lord and arouses His wrath (Isaiah 63:10). The Lord God of Israel has not changed; He has only changed the requirements of receiving salvation (Romans 11:28-32; Hebrews 8:13; 9:11-12).

I therefore share some of my moments of disobedience and the Lord’s reaction. One evening I had an incident involving one of my daughters, and this led me to say things that I was not permitted to, and what I said clearly hurt everybody in the family. This particular incident also hurt the Lord and for my effort I received a stunning rebuke from Him that left me licking my emotional pains for weeks, feeling ashamed of my conduct. As it is, what the Lord told me was embarrassing, and I felt that He was angry with me for what I had done. That night was the most unfortunate in my life as a Christian and I felt the anger of the Lord with great fear and trembling. Even though the Lord had been speaking to us for more than 2 years then, I felt that I was all alone and that God was against me. The moment following my outbursts I was conscious-stricken like David when he had the Israelite army counted (2 Samuel 24); I felt ashamed even to the point of not knowing how to ask the Lord for forgiveness. Through a strong conviction by the Holy Spirit I summoned courage and I went to bed that night praying and asking the Lord to forgive me. I knew that He might bring me a message, and He did. Being a gracious and forgiving God (Psalm 86:5), He accepted my repentance prayer and forgave me. This was evident in the subsequent message of rebuke that He gave me. Although the rebuke itself was strong and filled me with fear for God, I could also sense His love for me. He removed the guilt that tormented me (1 Chronicles 21:8) and what remained was just the embarrassment and a great lesson learnt. This was good for me as it served as a warning and humbling experience.

In another incident, we have a very dear sister in this ministry who is in the habit of covering up her children’s mistakes, giving other children the blame and not acknowledging the mistakes of her own children. I can tell you, the Lord is very displeased with parents who "seal up" or "cover-up" their children’s wrongs and do not correct them on how to treat and live with others. That is a very dangerous position of parenting, including overlooking our children’s mistakes and siding with them when they’re wrong. This is like saying to them when they are wrong: "what you are doing is right and I am at your side to defend and protect you." The Lord handed this sister a strong rebuke which led her to tears of humility as she confessed her wrongs to the Lord. Although the rebuke came with a promise of punishment, after seeing how she humbled herself the Lord relented His anger and forgave her (1 Kings 21:29) saying that the vision was only a warning.

These above two examples are not they only ones we have experienced in this ministry. Other brethren elsewhere had their moments of sharp rebukes from the Lord.  However, when they would show a humble and obedient attitude, the Lord would graciously wipe the tears of the rebuke away and give some heart-warming encouragement to express His approval and forgiveness.

There are also many instances throughout the Bible where God displays His forgiveness and compassion. For example, God had intended to destroy the city of Nineveh within 40 days. After giving them a warning through Jonah, they believed Him and humbly repented of their sins (Jonah 3:3-9). When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened (Jonah 3:10). God's mercy is indeed great and beyond our understanding. Manasseh was one of the most wicked kings that Israel ever had and the Bible details his many sins:

From  twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the Lord... rebuilt the high places... raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them... he caused his sons to pass through the fire...; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritisms. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God. Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel" (2 Chronicles 33:1-9).

Furthermore, the Bible says that "The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen, "therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon." (2 Chronicles 33:10-11).  In this deplorable and helpless state, deeply afflicted, Manasseh sought God's grace and forgiveness: "... he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty (prayer request), heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God" (2 Chronicles 33:12-13). After Manasseh repented, he (Manasseh) forsook his wicked ways and began reversing all the wicked and detestable things he had done before (2 Chronicles 33:14-17). If the Lord God loved, forgave and restored this king who had committed such gross wickedness, how much more is He willing to forgive you for your sins if you likewise confess and repent? "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32). 

In conclusion, the Lord is not pleased when we take advantage of His forgiving nature and keep sinning willful. Also, willful sin results in habitual sin, and such behavior becomes addictive and sadly this drives the Lord away from us. As I have come to know Him, when we turn back to Him in submission and obedience, He will forgive us and keep us from falling from His grace (1 John 1:9; Ezekiel 18:21-24). Before closing, I would like to confess and testify that while the Lord is a forgiving and loving God, He cannot be fooled by people who try to manipulate Him into action to deliver a blessing. Instead, such provocative behavior earns punishment. We must confess our wrongs and remain faithfully obedient; only then do we secure salvation (Matthew 24:13; 25:1-10). Let us honor the Lord and value His forgiveness.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases (Psalm 103:1-3).

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy (Micah 7:18).

Beauty in Christ

 Our Glory Is Christ

“And why worry about clothes? Look how the wildflowers grow: they do not work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers (Matthew 6:28-29).

In case you may not have noticed but if a person is in Christ, He literally glows you up in other words, the Lord makes you more beautiful and giving you a “Spiritual makeover.”

Now, God has created all men in his image. (Genesis 1:27) But once you serve Christ, be “Born-again”, he doesn’t just renew you from within but outside as well. You are a new creation all-round.

This just goes to tell me that after Our Father has blessed us with the gift of Salvation, he provides for our physical wellbeing as well. That’s the God we serve! He really takes care of all our needs. You are as beautiful as a flower (Matthew 6:28-29).

His light and Love (Love is also who He is) shines through us for the Glory of Christ Jesus Our Lord.  People will and can see if you bear the good fruit of Christ and then they praise and envy you. Isn’t that beauty in Christ once again? (Psalm 139:14).

Seek beauty. Seek beauty in God. You will never have to adorn yourself with worldly ornaments if you are seeking beauty in Christ. Let us recall what the Apostle Paul said, “I also want the women to be modest and sensible about their clothes and to dress properly; not with fancy hairstyles or with gold ornaments, or pearls or expensive dresses” (1 Timothy 2:9-10 GNB).

A few weeks ago, I walked into an old family friend, Linda (not real name), and immediately when I saw her, my heart broke into pieces. She looked extremely frail, sickly, and undernourished. I could sense that her spirit was broken, and while considering her state the Holy Spirit started to minister to me saying when you do your own thing and does not follow the Lord Jesus' bad fruits will manifest and corrodes you inside out showing exactly what your spirit was feeding on. Now that’s not beauty in Christ at all!

Now as it is, our message to you is that we must first seek God’s kingdom. Become a part of the body of Christ and all peace, inner and outer beauty will become yours. There are so many fresh benefits in the Lord.

In conclusion, you should absolutely want what Christ has to offer. Just worshiping him is a beauty in itself.
