 Faith Is Courage

Brethren, the Lord has revealed to us through various messages and visions that the courage of many Christians is failing them to walk fully in the will of the Lord. This, the LORD said, led to many Christians dishonoring Him and they instead choose to honor man more than Him. Therefore, after prayer, we are reposting this message to encourage and remind the brethren to be courageous and stand firm especially given the times that we are living in. We are going to need the courage to overcome the temptation of being ashamed of the gospel and our good confession that Jesus Christ is LORD! Be blessed and share the word as you continue serving.

PROPHETIC MESSAGE: (26/08/2024).

Brethren

Just sharing and encouraging you at the same time to please pray while waiting for the Lord's return. Please pray, pray, pray!

I recently saw in a vision a Large red Horse coming from the North being readied for war. I heard the LORD said no country will escape the effect of this war and the nations will submit to the power and influence of the coming ruler(s). 

The devastation I saw (details will be posted in full in next few weeks) was so wide-spread there was a scarcity of almost all kinds of food stuff and some other items. 

World trade will come to a halt and force many businesses into bankruptcy. Greed and excessive revenge will fuel this coming evil, but the LORD will save His faithful children who are waiting for His Promised return.  

Additionally, we need to remind you that if a person does not have faith, God cannot work with you (Hebrews11:6). I have had quite a few people writing to me disputing certain bible truths or finding it hard to believe and when we asked the Lord He would address that person's lack of faith and doubts. Thus having the courage to stand against any oppressiveness or an ungodly demand is an expression of our faith in God (Daniel 3:18). 

Some time ago, a brother in the Lord was trusting God to bring about a certain event while his wife doubted. The Lord rebuked the sister for her lack of faith. Similarly, one young man asked us to trust God to bless him with a job, we prayed and asked God for him the Lord answered saying that the young man did not have enough faith. As it is then, we need to focus on God to help us overcome our lack of courage.

Furthermore, we have numerous Biblical examples of failed courage and how this led to disaster. Here is one powerful incident of failed courage. Moses sent out 12 spies to explore the promised land of Canaan, and upon their return, they displayed some of the rich produce from that land. They also reported how powerful the people were. They saw giant-like people there, “descendants of Anak”. The spies (with the exception of Joshua and Caleb), presented the report in such a negative and unfaithful manner that the people were discouraged and their hearts failed so that they longed back to the days of bondage (Numbers 13: 1-33).

Even though Moses, Caleb, Joshua, and Aaron pleaded with the community to trust in the Lord and not to be afraid, the people were determined to turn back in disobedience (Numbers 14:1-9). Brethren, I encourage you in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ never to turn back to bondage after you experienced the Lord’s deliverance. This will result in your destruction (Numbers 14:21-30). From the above Scripture, we learn that this same rebellious community experienced the mighty acts of God’s judgment upon the Egyptians, and yet they still doubted Him. They were driven by fear and they had given up. The Lord forgave them and promised judgment for their lack of faith, and we know that He fulfilled the judgment He promised them (Joshua 5:6).

God: Our Source of Courage

God the Father says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NIV). Furthermore, Joshua, being a man of faith, took God’s Word literally when the Lord said to him, “Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and courageous. Be careful to obey all the law My servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go” (Joshua 1:6-7 NIV).

As it turned out, Joshua took faith in the words of the Lord and God’s command to be strong and courageous, and he brought the Israelites into the Promised Land (Joshua 24:8-14). This was a combination of faith and obedience which resulted in the promise. Faith is expressed through courage in facing uncertainty. I am not talking about human courage that seeks to elevate our own strength and abilities. I am talking about taking courage in God’s abilities. If we expressed such faith, God would be recognized as the Source of our achievement, rather than us. The result is always supernatural and beyond human ability (Joshua 1:3-9).

In addition, courage is often mistaken for risk in today’s language. The world encourages people to take risks by experimenting with their strengths and weaknesses. The benefit of success in taking the risk is wealth and self-glory. When we take risks, we base our faith in our own abilities and not in the Lord. In the Lord, however, we express our courage by faith in God’s abilities for His glory and our deliverance. In other words, we say, “Lord you said, so we do” (John 15:14).

In many instances, I have witnessed how the Christian’s courage is usurped by fear. In the examples above, Joshua had faith but he needed to have courage as well. We have also seen how fear seized upon the people‘s courage and they gave up (Numbers 14:4). Although they fell in the desert, God used Joshua’s courage to bring their children into the Promised Land. Likewise, God wants us to take up Joshua, Paul, and Peter’s courage as a testimony to trust in His ability. We read how they overcame all adversities. These courageous men witnessed fearlessly (Acts 4:33), they had the courage to face prison, ridicule, and death, and yet they persevered (2 Corinthians 11:23-33).

Today, many Christians are discouraged to witness because they fear what others might think about them. They fear being ridiculed more than witnessing to save souls. We often see and hear the lukewarm, disobedient, and self-righteous believers hurling insults, such as “fundamentalists”, to truly God-fearing servants of God. Do not lose your courage because of insults and abuse, and do not allow a man to judge you on the convictions coming from the Holy Spirit. Keep marching on in obedience and inherit God’s promises! (Joshua 1:7, Luke 6:22-23). God has promised success to the courageous and obedient believers. Also, let your courage not fail because you see that many Christians have befriended the world and live contrary to the scriptures; don’t join in, but hold on faithfully to your confidence (Hebrews 10:23, 1 Corinthians 15:58).

Furthermore, have courage like King Josiah who, when he heard about God’s judgments, repented and led his entire kingdom to national repentance (2 Chronicles 34:39-33). King Josiah took God’s word literally and acted in obedience to it. He was led by a strong conviction and committed himself to follow the Lord with all his heart and soul. He was possessed by fear for God and he followed the commands of the WORD (2 Chronicles 34:31). He showed contempt for the wrongs his forefathers did by destroying the evil they did against the Lord. A flame for God’s justice was burning within him (2 Kings 23:4-25).

Before I conclude, I would like to share with you a short testimony. Before I arrived at the position of faith and courage I enjoy today, I faced many tests and challenges. I fought the fear I had for man through prayer and obedience to God. I am not mentioning this to be pitied, but when the Lord tested our faith and courage, He sent us out witnessing with our Bibles only. He sent us out from morning till late at night. In conclusion, I encourage you as a fellow servant of God not to allow the ungodly talk of the faithless to consume your courage. Instead, use your faith to draw courage from God, since He said in Scripture “…And I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20 NIV). We, therefore, say AMEN to His promises and unfathomable ABILITY!

Appreciating The Gift Of Life

“For whoever wants to love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit, turn from evil and do good, seek peace and chase after it. For Adonai keeps his eyes on the righteous and his ears are open to their prayers; but the face of Adonai is against those who do evil things” (1 Peter 3:10-12 CJB).

Many concerned brethren wrote to us inquiring about things they read which are supposedly from the Lord. As is apparent, we prayerfully and carefully examined some of these teachings in the light of the Scriptures so that the truth of the Bible remains our guide. Like we alluded elsewhere, our motive is to satisfy ourselves with the Truth and to allow such Truth which we receive by faith, to guide our conscience. When I witness to people I often remind them that abusing their bodies through drugs, alcohol and cigarettes shows little appreciation for the gift of life. Furthermore, our lives are not our own, it's been gifted to us by the Almighty God, that is why we will have to account for it either to be crowned with the gift of eternal life or for eternal damnation (Romans 14:12; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

This week however, the Lord has given us something new to reflect upon: loving and valuing our God-given lives. The Bible tells us that after God created everything, He was pleased and approved His work (Genesis 1:31). He set out laws for nature in terms of reproduction (Genesis 1:11) and He also set the reproductive laws in motion when He commanded both man, plants and animals to “be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:20-25). This is the Creator giving earthly life its orders, and being alive in this world we see this very thing still in operation around us. This is so because, He holds all things together by the Power of His eternal Word (Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:17).

Loving Our Lives to Please God

Since man is created in the image of God, man has been endowed with the power of will and choice (Genesis 2:15-17). Morally, man’s conscience needs guiding to determine rewards or punishment. Biblically, rewards would refer to the preservation of life which God promised to compensate our faith and obedience (John 3:16-18). While punishment refers to a total separation from God, we are promised life and perpetual existence in Him alone (John 1:4; 15:4-6). Scripturally, and by faith, we know God exercised His dominion over man and all creation on earth by allowing death and decay (Genesis 3:17-19).

Therefore, knowing that the reward for obedience is eternal life, loving our lives is to live pleasing to God (Colossians 1:10). The point I am making is this: Christ is life and our faith and obedience to Him equals our union with Him (John 17:20-23). This union is the life-sustaining nourishment leading to our preservation – eternal life. Just as much as life is interrupted when we separate a branch from a vine, likewise the life of a believer is interrupted and lifeless when we are not living in union with the Lord (John 15:5). Union or oneness with Christ Jesus is seen through the fruit He produces through us by His Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22; Romans 8:9-11).

Similarly, when the Lord said we must hate (Luke 14:26) our own lives, He meant we must share in His life of suffering and deny living for our own pleasures, but offer our lives in service to God (Romans 12:1-2). This is the life He called Aaron and his sons to a lasting priesthood to God; you and I have been called likewise (1 Peter 2:9).

Why Do Some People Hate Life?

I honestly don’t have all the answers to this question. However, having been endowed with all faculties common to man, I can testify that hard situations can make us give up on life. We often blame everything and everyone around us, but ourselves. Often, most of our problems are as a result of our own choices. The choices that landed us into trouble were self-driven and God had no influence in our lives. When this has happened, we may express our displeasure at life and even spend the rest of our remaining days complaining and being dissatisfied. Sadly, there are those who would try out God, and if God does not conform to their standards, He is not needed. To those people I say: shame on you! God’s life in you results in fruit for living (Galatians 5:22). This is what everybody will see and want, not our constant consciousness about our own lives. This is therefore a wasted life; it has no support from the Source, God.

In conclusion, a few weeks ago, the Lord showed Charis in a vision a young man who returned back into the world. In this vision he was portrayed as very old, wrinkled, frail and looking under-nourished. In the vision, while pointing at this young man an Angel,  “look at this worldly man”. This is the condition of a person who does not have the life of God: withered and without life support, dead from the inside. Brethren, your life is wasted without Christ and you show no appreciation to your life and existence if you choose to live apart from Him. Through this message, the Almighty God says: love your life and unify it in Christ Jesus (John 3:17-18). Love life which has meaning and value only in Christ and enjoy it in service to God and man!

Remain Faithful Unto Death

Prophetic Warnings are not News Updates

Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:17-18 ESV). And, You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you (Isaiah 26:3 ESV). Also, Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life (Revelation 2:10 ESV).

Brethren, be prepared the Lord did reveal that Christians will face the coming persecution(s) when the antichrist and the false prophet is being revealed. We must therefore ready ourselves to remain strong and fearless to withstand the time of the testing of our faith. Are we saying Christians will face tribulation...YES! Be Prepared!

We would like to confidently share this conviction in the name of the Lord that Christians who rely on certain events to happen first before they take their salvation seriously will be caught unawares like the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25:3). The Lord said, there will be ‘sudden destruction’ (1 Thessalonians 5:3). Some two weeks ago, the Lord reminded me that His coming is near and what saddens Him is that certain Christians are only looking to apocalyptic world events to live temporarily obedient. The danger is, some Christians treat the Lord’s teachings which are aimed to prepare them for fruit-bearing and Christian service disrespectfully (Ephesians 4:12). Sadly, but true, some are treating prophetic websites like ours as ‘news sites.' They are only interested in ‘news’ from the Lord, and if His coming is promising according to them, they will remain in the ‘pocket, ’ but if His coming appears distant, they continue as distant followers. Undoubtedly, this is a dangerous position of hypocrisy do we really think we are smarter than God? The Lord knows that such believers have no love for Him as their action shows. If we don’t allow the Lord’s teachings to purify us and rendering us blameless, then we may suffer the consequences of the prophecy which says, “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile”… [But] those fearing God shall become “let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy" (Revelations 22:11 NIV).

There is currently a trend amongst Christians to ‘prophecy’ end-time related events when certain things happened around the world to the excitement of many, and sadly, the non-discerning are led into confusion and faith failure (1 Timothy 1:19). When the things ‘prophesied’ failed to materialize their faith goes into a ’dormant’ stage until the next event occurs and interpreted as relating to the Coming of the Lord and those who do not guard against the times ‘awakes’ resumes their faith until the next event (Matthew 25:1-13). I sincerely pray that this message is serving as a warning to those Christians who are not taking their salvation seriously. The Lord’s prediction in the preceding scripture will find fulfillment in them.

God Cannot Be Fooled

If as Christians we maintain a double standard of living having faith but living contrary to the faith we profess, our fruit will judge the quality of our obedience to the Lord (Romans 2:6; 2 Corinthians 5:10). From our experience with the Lord, we learned that no excuse we may try to offer can ever stand up against the Lord’s judgments (Romans 2:12-15). Indeed, we may succeed in being ‘clever’ and deceiving people, but God will reveal the deceitful intentions of our hearts (Jeremiah 17:10).

Being involved in ministry work, we have seen over the years how many people expressed passionate obedience and love to the Lord, and their works were in agreement with their intentions, however, when evil thoughts and ill-feelings entered them the spirit of excuses manifest. When this happens, the pleasure of sin consumes them, and the defense to appease the conscious is excused. Therefore, in the end, we have a ‘clever’ Christian who is well-trained in the ‘art’ of deceitfulness. Let me be direct, do you think your clever manipulations will escape God’s attention? (Galatians 6:7).

We thus confidently testify that some time ago the Lord revealed to us that He looks into people’s heart's intentions and the evil that entices them into disobedience. When we embrace what He despises and use excuses to justify our behavior we sin consciously (1 Peter 2:16; Romans 1:20). Thus, the ‘bulk’ of evidence against our motivation whatever drove us to be it greed, lust, or hatred comes from the heart (Luke 6:43-45; Matthew 15:19). Thus, whichever way we may try to turn for answers to conceal our heart's intentions, the Lord righteousness we simply cannot escape (Hebrews 4:13; Proverbs 5:21). At the end who is the fool!

Overcoming Uncertainty

As humans and since we cannot tell the future, our response to things that could adversely affect us would be met with uncertainty which would trigger every kind of survival technique. Thus, our natural instinct would lead us to some defense mechanism to survive the uncertain situation. This fear in uncertainty does not have faith as a shield (Ephesians 6:16), instead of melancholy sets in and people look to sources other than the Lord for solutions. If this happened then our faith, which holds our hope has soundly deserted us. Fear drives Christians who accept solutions outside the Lord's counsel, and they are driven to create temporary solutions (Numbers 14:4). We are not talking about a genuine belief a person has when expressing his or her faith. In fact, as the above scripture suggests, if we fail to obey the Lord’s command as in the incident in the preceding verse we create a solution in our uncertainty against the will of God.

Also, fear, anxiety, and curiosity are amongst the sensations we experience when times of uncertainty strikes. Now, whichever manifest it leaves the human soul without peace, and as long as the situation endures, the feeling to rid oneself of the unwanted sensation will continue. Depending on our relationship with the Lord, if we have entrusted our wellbeing to Him our faith would conquer the fear and anxiety that flows from uncertainty.

In our concluding remarks, are we curious about the future? Are certain world events filling you with fear and anxiety? If so, examine your relationship with the Lord and respond by faith to the convictions from the Holy Spirit and you need not fear. Be consistent as a Christian in your conduct, faithful in truthful and humble service and everybody will know the love of the Lord has been perfected in you.

Being Selfishly-Minded

“Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.  Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing” (Philippians 2:3 NLT).

“For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 2:21 NIV).

This week, the Lord is reminding us that we should not think about our own interests, but about His interest. Being born again means …"You are not your own; you were bought at a price…" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV).  This teaching runs through the entire Bible, and many of us are reading this and many other similar passages daily, yet we ignore to live according to these commands of Scripture. The Lord told us that when we purposely ignore obeying His Word, He will also ignore us (Mark 8:38). Many Christians think that if they selectively do the will of God they are pleasing Him; this act is an abomination to Him. We please the Lord when we say like Paul “...I consider my life worth nothing to me...” (Acts 20:24 NIV). These were not just vain confessions; the apostle Paul walked the talk as is evident in his epistles and the book of Acts. He lived a yielded life to Christ.

The Example of The Lord and Other Servants of God

The life of our Lord Jesus Christ is vividly portrayed in the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). In a compelling account, the witnesses testified how the Lord lived out His zeal in service to our Heavenly Father (John 4:34; John 9:4).  Many of us would say, “Yes, but that was Jesus Christ”; true, He set the pace for His followers and others followed (1 Corinthians 11:1).  In sharing His life with us, the Lord held nothing back.  He lived every moment of time for the will of the Father. 

Similarly, Daniel and his three friends took their stand and refused to live according to the dictates of the King and the pressure from their peers (Daniel 3:18). Today, many Christians bow to pressure and compromise their walk with Christ to please their worldly and God-denying friends. They don’t l live yielded to Christ all the time; they live selectively, picking and choosing what is acceptable to yield to at the moment. Are we not being hypocritical and sacrificing our salvation to please our peers?  Are we not hurting the Lord when we deny Him in front of others?  When we do so, He turns around and looks at us with pain in His heart (Luke 22:61).

Also, just as Moses the servant of the Lord was called by God to serve His purpose, and his life was not devoted to self-serving, we have likewise been called.   Moses gave up his life and followed the will of God (Exodus 33:13). So did Joshua who assisted Moses in the Presence of the Lord since he was a youth (Joshua 11:28). These men and many others did not live their lives for themselves; they had no personal achievements except what God has done through them for the benefit of others.  They can only say “this is what God has worked through me for His own glory”, not “this is what I achieved”.  If we work for the Lord, why do we credit ourselves for the work He brought about through us? Are we not owned by Christ? (1 Corinthians 6:20).

From the above examples, we can see the outworking of God through the lives of these devoted servants in service to Him for the benefit of others. The self-servicing will always put their interest first.  In our serving, is our motive to gratify some personal longing or craving, or is it to serve God?  I have come across many self-serving people who do things in the name of the Lord, but God is nowhere seen in the decisions they made. If God was present in their work, we would see the fruit of God.  That fruit is evident in the obedience of people towards God, not the big churches and numbers.  We, therefore, ask, what was the outworking of God in people’s lives? (Philippians 4:14-18).  How has the outworking of God in believers impacted communities? If there is no evidence, then the work we did reflected nothing but ourselves. We did not lead from the front; we were instead coaches that sit and give orders from the bench. In Christianity, Christ left us an example by doing/action (in leading and serving others), and so did those who followed His way of life (Hebrews 5:8; Acts 5:41).

Do We Serve God or Ourselves?

The Word of God (The Bible) is for all people and it is good for everyday living. We are commanded by the Lord to take our daily instructions for obedient living from the Word (1 Peter 2:20; Matthew 4:4). If we live by the carefully formulated formulas we received from our church leaders, then we are not following the Lord, but man. When we serve and follow man, our work will be evident through our fruit. Those fruits are reflected in our attitude and the "evidence" of God in our lives. God is seen in us through our humble and serving attitudes (Philippians 2:5-11; John 13:1-17).

Furthermore, it is not how much we know and talk about God; do we see the outworking of God in us into the lives of others? Or are we just idle talkers who only complain? Or are we just trying to impress others by the witty sayings about God? Remember our actions build and change lives more than just our clever sayings (James 2:14-26).

We recently experienced an incident where the Lord rebuked an individual for selfish living. When I shared the Lord’s message with him, he cited his feelings, considering what he feels is more important than the truth of God. He considered taking someone’s part more important than the Word of God. If we do so we disqualify ourselves from the truth of God. Also, I have shared many rebukes from the Lord with brothers and sisters who were convinced they are serving the Lord by the work they were doing in His name, but in the end, the Lord judged them by showing that they were serving themselves. What was wrong with their work? There was no God-fearing fruit in the lives of those they are ministering to. They try to impact people’s lives by pointing people to gifts and man, more than to Christ Jesus who alone is worthy of praise and thanksgiving.  Let me caution you here in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: when you point people to man in the name of the Lord, are you not promoting idolatry and expressing your will? We express the will of Christ if there is no evidence of our own self-interest.

Finally, the Word of God says that "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all" (Mark 9:35 NIV). Also, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever Amen” 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NIV). The Lord Jesus Christ loves people and He is their Judge and He always works through His servants for the good of people, not only for the material good of people but that they prosper spiritually, which is obedience to the Lord (Deuteronomy 4:40; Ephesians 5:21).

In conclusion, the Lord recently encouraged a brother saying he must continue work of service for His sake. This is your calling, your life, and your hope; unite with Christ to establish His Kingdom (Luke 11:23). Remember the Lord measures us by the outworking of God in others through obedient service to Him.

Below is a short vision God gave Charis (January 12, 2014) afternoon. The Lord does bring an end to our selfish ways. This person is very, very dear to me, but I must share to warn others. If we stand in the way of God because we restrain others to serve our interest and not His, and when He wants to save a soul we will face His wrath like Elymas the sorcerer (Acts 13:8-12). This vision is a warning and a Judgement of God against someone who opposed God.

Vision of a Self-Thinking Person

“I went to bed with a headache and while sleeping I had a vision from the Lord this afternoon.  I saw myself, Jaydeen and my cousin Elzette in a very, very large house with many rooms.  While we were walking down the passage of this big house, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “…Brother B’s days are numbered and you must pray for him”.  After these words, I saw a very long straight thin rope with no beginning or end and big scissors appeared cutting the rope in the middle. In the vision, I knew this was referring to the words the Lord had spoken”.

We pray that the Lord delays His Judgement until this person makes his life right with God. God gives life and He has the power to terminate our lives (Daniel 5:23; Acts 12:23). The God we serve is a God of Mighty Judgement, no one trying to oppose Him can succeed (Proverbs 21:30). Help us pray!
