Being A True Servant Of God's Kingdom

Our Message Is About Saving Souls

“It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave” (Matthew 20:26-27 HCSB).

Sometime in the year 2009, my family and I attended a Sunday morning service at our previous Church. During this particular Sunday morning, our pastor invited a guest speaker, a very confident young brother in the Lord who appeared then to be in his late 20’s. From what I learned, this brother was a regular invited guest speaker at the Church. However, with his preaching that morning, he delivered a very good message (Romans 10:15) to the delight and encouragement of everyone present. However, his frequent references to his achievements and association with well-know ministers during his sermon equally discouraged me and others. Now to some of us though, it appeared as if he was trying to draw attention to himself and his work (Jeremiah 9:24).

Man’s Self-imposed Authority

Brethren, like many others we observed, such preachers overflow with confidence and with a boastful sense of authority. As we know, Moses walked fearfully and humbly before the Lord (Hebrews 12:21; Numbers 12:3; Deuteronomy 9:25) faithfully serving his people. The Lord requires His servants to be humble and not to elevate themselves before the people and when this same Moses and Aaron lost sight of God’s Holiness, they were punished and humbled (Numbers 20:10). We agree, the preaching of God’s word should be proclaimed boldly however, our fear and respect for God should allow for the ray of humility to be visible and shine forth (Matthew 11:29; Philippians 2:6-8).

About 15 years ago, when I was in hospital sharing an apartment with a few other patients, my attention was drawn to one particular patient who was very sick and he was frequently visited by the leadership of his Church. On one occasion, a leader who was sent to the patient came in the name and authority of the ‘chief apostle’ came to boldly pronounce healing and bless the patient in the words of the ‘chief apostle’, however a few days thereafter the patient died. What I learned from that was the following, the words of healing and blessing was from a heart of faith but it had no effect on the patient because the patient had faith in the authority and words of man.

Kindly allow me to repeat myself here, many Christians will readily believe the statements of faith of their pastor and priest (whatever they are called) but they have no faith to believe for themselves what the Lord says. Just yesterday, (18/02/2018) Charis highlighted a point saying, many people would believe when you said that you have prayed for them but when you tell them the Lord spoke to you, that triggers their doubts. Like we alluded elsewhere on this blog, the Lord said that not everyone would believe and accept our testimony but there will be those who would listen and believe our message.

The Distinguishing Marks Of A True Servant

Briefly, a true Christian servant is selfless, mindful of others and showing real concern and consistency for those he or she is serving in the name of the Lord (Luke 10:30-37). Let me add, many Christians today regard their serving of others as a burden so they give up and think them serving is a weakness. No! Serving is no weakness God Himself continue to serve even the ungrateful (Matthew 5:45). Brethren, we know it is impossible to compare ourselves to our Almighty Lord Jesus; however, the Scriptures encourage us to imitate our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:1-2). First, a true servant of the Lord follows his teachings and abides by His word (Matthew 4:19; John 15:7). And of equal importance, a true Christian complaints to God if the burden of God’s work is too demanding (Numbers 11:14) for him or her instead of complaining or arguing (Philippians 2:14-15) such actions are seen as rebelliousness and God will met out punishment (Numbers 14:9-12). Furthermore, a true servant is driven by an unselfish spirit and inspired by love to see the good and well-being of others (2 Corinthians 8:9; 6:4-10). Also, a true servant does NOT stand back or make excuses not to serve nor does such a servant say NO to do God's work despite the challenges (1 Corinthians 9:16). Even God's Angels who are much powerful than humanity are obedient servants of God (Hebrews 1:14).

Finally, if we lack being a true servant we better repent and pray taking courage and putting on the apron of servant hood or humility and fulfil your Christian calling (1 Peter 5:5; Luke 12:37).

To accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, please begin by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

How We Are Being Influenced By Evil

Works Of The Flesh

“Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity, idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition, conflict, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I've told you in the past and I'm telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21).

Brethren, we pray that this article will help many Christians who are simply struggling with sin and overcome it. We further pray that we be found worthy when the Lord appears soon! The Lord recently reveal something to us regarding the dangers of works of the flesh as listed above including lying, gossiping and murdering (Revelations 21:8; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Brethren please therefore bear with us while we will briefly share what the Lord revealed; remember the aim is to prepare you and to gain over souls for God’s imminent harvest. Therefore in this article, we only seek to create awareness for us to discern in order to be empowered to resist and pursue purity (2 Timothy 2:22).

It is true that many of us are being overcame or possessed by some of the vices in the aforementioned scriptures and we need not be alarmed because it is true (Romans 3:10; John 8:7). Now what the Lord revealed to us is that if we allow any of these vices to control us so as to yield to its evil intend we disregard His warnings and we are guilty of sin before Him (Romans 6:12).

If we however resist the force of these ill-feelings when it manifest in us and not obey its passions to act accordingly we would not have given it room to grow and ultimately possesses us (Hebrews 12:15). Scripturally, we know that sin is rude less and if it attaches itself to our soul it wants to control our will like a strong man in us (Matthew 12:29). If we thus descend to this level we enter into the space of willful sinning (Hebrews 10:26) and if so would then mean that we are soundly possessed by the power of sin (Romans 6:14). A few years ago, the Lord rebuked a brother saying that if a lying spirit or any other sin has possessed a person he or she is operating under the power and control of the devil (1 John 3:8-10).

Subtle Possession Of Sin To Control

This then is noticeable when the craving for sin (or the particular evil that is controlling us) is overwhelmingly uncontrollable. I'm certain many of us have seen this in drug, porn, alcohol, social media and cell phone addicts and however ‘innocent’ or mild no addict is better than the other in the side of God the issue is you are hooked and possessed ma’am or sir! This is very serious brethren and we have shared with you how the Lord gave us serious messages to warn us against the possessive power of sin. Sadly many people who were once faithful children of God and members of this ministry failed to obey the Lord and they fell into sin and we know Satan creates a trap to lock us in and that is what happens to many of us.

How To Escape From That?

A mere confession or guilt feelings of remorse is not enough, we need a Godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10), a true repentance and a heart-committed turn from sin against the will of sinful craving. It is like giving up sin to receive the Lord’s forgiveness being in the sinful body (Romans 7:24) nobody said it is easy we all struggle against sin daily and some of us allow it no room to take control. I’m being reminded, a person addicted to smoking would say it is extremely hard to give it up, but which is the better choice, eternal life or the appetizing craving of sin? (James 1:12).

Now, would you rather ‘reward’ yourself with the pleasures of sin now and to face God’s wrath against it in the hereafter? Rather subdue (crucify, or buffet) your body to receive later (or hereafter) from the Lord Jesus Christ the crown of life.

Furthermore, we cannot overemphasize this! If you want to break the power of sin and addictions, refrain from it, go on a few day fasting and prayer therein is real deliverance (Matthew 17:21). Depending on the severity of the sinful effects, perhaps take some prayer and fasting turns based on your faith, strength and seriousness to be delivered maybe take two or three days of fasting and prayer per stronghold. I’d like to add dear brethren, this works I and many other children of God had applied this and the Lord Jesus Christ did give us mercy and deliverance.

In conclusion, don’t become a follower of Christ by mere desire to become a better Christian is one in the power of faith. When the ungodly feelings of selfishness, anger, jealousy, hatred or any of the vices mentioned above strikes resist, rebuke and don’t obey it so that we give no effect to its passions and so avoiding it taking roots to posses and control us (Genesis 4:7).

Again, we extend an invitation to those who are not saved yet to make right with God and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Thanking God Always

Our Commitment Expresses Our Gratitude to God

“Bring [your] thanks to God as a sacrifice, and keep your vows to the Most High” (Psalm 50:14 GWT).

It is essential that Christians offer thanksgiving to the Lord. As a ministry, the Lord has instructed us to have a thanksgiving and worship session once a week. With peace falling apart in the world right now, all we need is Christ. Thus, to be closer to Him through thanksgiving sessions enables us to 'dwell in the shadow of the Most High'. The Lord recently revealed to us that nobody has the answers to the world's problems but He alone, and if we want to see Him intervene in the world's affairs, Christians need to PRAY OFTEN AND VERY HARD DAILY!

Brethren, this week’s message is as equally important as all the other messages we posted here. As a reminder, the Lord told us that everything we do or say in His Name carries the same importance and urgency. We, therefore, urge you to take note of this message and be encouraged to draw closer to the Lord (James 4:8).

While we will always fall short in terms of our works before the Lord, the Bible does not say that we have to hid our lights under a table (Matthew 5:14). Let us not confuse this message with our Praise and Worship article which we wrote and shared here a sometimes ago. The Lord intended the reason for this message as an encouragement to the brotherhood to get involved in their Heavenly Father’s business (Luke 2:49) by following, obeying, and testifying about the Lord’s Grace and Goodness (Acts 2:11). A few years ago when the Lord commanded my wife to find some willing sisters to pray with her on Saturday mornings. In order to encourage my wife and the sisters who joined her prayer group to be faithful in their commitment to the prayers, the Lord gave them various passages of Scriptures from the Bible through Charis to read as encouragement before starting their intercessory prayers. Among such Bible passages from the Lord was Psalm 50 and the Lord drew my attention to verses 14 and 23 the Lord taught us that if Christians voluntarily submit to His will and serve, they fulfill their vow of being obedient and that is an expression of thanks offering (Psalm 50:14; 1 Samuel 15:22), not forgetting that goodness and sharing with others should flow naturally from all of us as Christians (Hebrews 13:16; 2 Peter 1:5).

Prioritizing Our Godly Calling

Additionally, we recently shared a vision from the Lord regarding the Ordinary and Priority Judgments which many Christians wished we heard incorrectly. However, that does not bother us and we are just glad obediently and humbly share whatever we received from the Lord. Furthermore, from our years of experience with the Lord and the rebukes and corrections we received from Him, we can boldly testify that Christians who are lazy, worldly, and who sin purposely will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Now, we are not making a case for the salvation of works, but the Lord Jesus Christ warned and told us as a family and ministry that our works as Christians testify about our faith and association with Him (1 John 3:9). In other words, the Lord will measures our obedience towards Him through our works, because faith translates into action, “In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it doesn't cause you to do any good things” (James 2:17 GWT).

Brethren, as Christians, we have generally accepted the institutionalized Church system without question. As we acknowledged elsewhere on this platform, some Christians are just content to attend a one-day week of Church service without regard for a personal ministry as the Apostle Paul stresses in the book of Philippians and a commitment toward God (Philippians 4:9; Daniel 6:10; Acts 1:8). Finally, be encouraged, seek God’s will daily for your life, serve the Lord and bless the brethren in the Name of the Lord.

Would you like to be a guest of honor at the Lamb's wedding supper to sit and feast with all the great witnesses of God? If so, make your commitment today to Christ the Lord. Do you want to give your works an eternal meaning? To begin a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, please repent and start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. Blessed Love

What Is My life's Purpose

Jesus Christ Is Saviour

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord (Luke 2:11 NIV).

Being Christians, we cannot overlook the importance of celebrating the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, to us it is not about the correctness of the DAY or date but the message and GIFT (of salvation for those who believes and accepts His Grace) the Lord God Almighty brought us. It was this GIFT from God to deliver us from the fear of death (Hebrews 2:15), the penalty and bondage of sin and to render us blameless before a Holy God (Colossians 1:22). Scripturally, His (Christ) is the only LIFE that have been predicted, (Isaiah 9:6; 11:12; 28:16; 53:5; Micah 5:2) purposed and predetermined to STAND OUT as coming from the Father (John 1:32-34) to bring redemption and eternal salvation and peace to mankind (Luke 1:8-14).

Does My Life Have Purpose?

When we are born into this world, we have no prerecorded outline of our lives on how we will be leading our lives. Unlike animals which grew and develops through instinct, as humans on the other hand, we receive our development through learning (Proverbs 22:6) including the various social influences which directs our decisions and forms part of the way that we are to follow. Generally, as we pass through our various developmental stages so does our right and wrong senses (conscience) adapts and setting the limitations. The non-Christian follows the guides of his or her traditions and teachings. While the way of the non-Christian is not absolute, God will call into account the 'record' of the conscience that directs faith in God's truth so that no-one will have an excuse when being judged by the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 2:14-16).

The Christian Life Have Purpose In Christ

In contrast and biblically perceived, a truly born-again Christian lights up his or her life through scriptural instruction and the Holy Spirit to produce a Christ-like image of humility, submission, obedience, patience, giving, helping, love and faith to mention but a few (Hebrews 5:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Therefore, this and many other scripturally charged virtues (2 Peter 1:5-8; Romans 12:9-21) should complete and add purpose to our lives. In other words, such scriptural guidance serves as an individual ministry to others, showing the faith we profess informs our lifestyle and purpose in life.

Furthermore, as Christians, our lives purpose does not just consist of our educational background, the kind of job(s) we have, our wealth or our social stand or class. If that is how we view our purpose in life, we swing the pendulum outside our Christ-like driven purpose. In my experience, I came across countless Christians who are great preachers and gifted talkers who are not rooted in their faith, their actions and output from their hearts exposes their mouths confession. As it is, such behavior renders us fake and not true to our faith and purpose thus betraying what we believe while we smother and silence the conscience that we should rely on for guidance (Galatians 2:14; Matthew 26:69-75).

In Conclusion, my fellow Christian brothers and sisters let us ARISE with GUSTO and FAITH reclaiming our lives purpose and be Christ-like in a decaying world filled with violence, hatred, and selfish injustice.

Blessed Christmas and Christ directed New Year to you all

Our Ever Faithful Redeemer

Lord Will Never Fail Us

Have you ever been lied to, let down, abandoned, or left disappointed by someone who did not keep their promises? Have you lost confidence in people, concluding that no one can be trusted and that no man or woman is faithful? You are probably not alone.  In this increasingly morally decrepit world, where deceit, divorce, and duping are rampant, even within the walls of the Church, it's easy to come to that conclusion. But, I have a word of encouragement for you: there still remains One who is just, Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11), always!

The Bible boldly declares that "...it is impossible for God to lie..." (Hebrews 6:18); God loves us and does not break His promises; He fulfills what He says (Deuteronomy 7:8: Jeremiah 40:3). Whether we are faithful or not, God always "...remains faithful..."! (2 Timothy 2:13; Romans 3:3-4). Furthermore, The Word of God affirms and declares God's faithfulness:
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments” (Deuteronomy 7:9).
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9).
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
In life, we are always looking for someone to trust. We also know that trust serves as a safeguard against risk and uncertainty. Since no human being truly knows the future, we can only “predict” the future based on past experiences, with a dose of uncertainties and inaccuracies. The ability to know the future is obviously one ability God withheld from mankind, angels, and satanic hosts. As it is, knowing the future is a God-kind of ability for He declares:
“Remember this and be brave; take it to heart, you transgressors! Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one is like Me. I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will. I call a bird of prey] from the east, a man for My purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it” (Isaiah 46:9-11 HCSB).
We have all received a fair share of broken promises from our parents, friends, outsiders, spouses, and colleagues. This most likely led us to view what they say with caution, suspicion, and perhaps even distrust. We often suffer broken faith, humiliation, and hardheartedness as a result of those who disappointed us. We are even warned Scripturally not to put our trust in man (Jeremiah 17:5-6; ) Why? Because people are selfish and always consider their own interests first. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in people (Psalm 118:8).

God’s Faithfulness

We can always be comforted by the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and that He is faithful (1 John 1:9), and that He will be with us always – even to the end (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5). These are very precious promises and only those who put their trust in God have experienced how true He is to His promises (Hebrews 11:11).  Here are just a few instances of God's faithfulness:
  • After Adam fell and throughout the exodus, God promised deliverance (Genesis 3:15; Deuteronomy 18:15). He fulfilled this by sending His Son Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:21-23), through whom you and I have the promise of eternal life (John 3:16).
  • God promised to save Noah and his family from the flood (Genesis 6:17-18) and duly fulfilled this promise, establishing a new covenant with Noah (Genesis 9:9-17).
  • God was faithful in fulfilling His promise to Abraham (Genesis 12:2-3, 15:4-5; 17:4-8; 18:14; 22:18).
  • In spite of Job's many trials (Job 1:8-22), God was faithful to him (Job 42:12-16).
  • God was faithful to Ishmael and did not abandon him; he blessed him and his descendants (Genesis 17:18-20)
  • God kept His promise to protect and bless the children of Israel when they obeyed (Exodus 19:5-6), and He was faithful in keeping His covenant with them (Psalm 105:9-10)
  • God was faithful to Joshua and Caleb and fulfilled His promise to them (Joshua 1:1-4; Joshua 14:6-14; Numbers 14:24; Deuteronomy 1:36).
  • God kept His promise to David to establish his throne forever (2 Samuel 7:16); this is fulfilled through Jesus's eternal reign (Daniel 7:13-14; Luke 1:30-33; Acts 2:29–33; 2 Peter 1:11).
However, if we disobey the Lord, and treat Him with distrust, or charge Him with unfaithfulness in our hearts, we will not receive any of the good promises He made; instead, the fear of failure will meet us (Numbers 14:28-30). Furthermore, what leads people to fail in their faith is fear, impatience, and pressure from others (1 Samuel 13:11-12).

In our experience with the Lord, and this I will share from a strong conviction, I learned one lesson. When I waited for prophesied promises from the Lord to come to pass, I was driven by impatience, thinking that the Lord has now abandoned His promises. This led me to inquire frequently from Him and He gently reassured me that His plans concerning me have never changed and that I must just consider Him faithful (Jeremiah 29:11; Hebrews 10:23).

Brethren, not many of us may have had the opportunity of receiving a direct prophetic message from the Lord. However, this should not discourage our faith, and nor should it (in our view) diminish His faithfulness. His promises will always be in accordance with His Word, and as we grow in obedience, He lays out His plans for us in His vast Kingdom (Ephesians 4:7). We are only required to have faith, obey the teachings of the Lord, and live obediently, and His faithfulness will manifest (Luke 6:47-48).

Equally, the Lord reminded the Israelites that He was not doing things because they have done anything pleasing; He acted to display the glory of His faithfulness. This He did in accordance with His faithful promises to the patriarchs (Exodus 6:7-8; Ezekiel 36:22). The Lord declared to me that every word He utters or has uttered is a statement of intent and it must prove faithful (Jeremiah 1:12).

Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

In this ministry, the Lord told us that all things are possible if we just believe (Mark 9:23). We have no appetite for worldly things, and when we started out in this work, we had nothing except our faith and our Bibles. When the Lord assigned us to pray and witness (Please see Witnessing Part I, Witnessing Part II, and How This Ministry Started articles), we were aware that the Lord requires us to obey and use what we have to do His work. Although we needed tracts and means of transport (and we had neither of these), the work still had to be done even without these tools.

I don’t want to sound repetitive, but I would like to reiterate that The Lord only requires our availability, not what materials, money, or skills we have or don’t have. I have many friends in the Lord who have big plans for ministry work. Sadly these men are still “waiting” on the Lord; their dependence is on worldly things to do the work of God, yet all they need is faith and obedience.

Moreover, as a witness of Jesus Christ, I can truthfully testify how the Lord fulfilled promises to me personally, many of which I have shared on this website. He has not even overlooked promises He made to our children, but brought about many of the things He gave in this vision (see the Blessings from The Lord article). The Lord said the lessons He gave through this vision was to display His faithfulness and His rewards for obedience.

In conclusion, when we as a ministry and family were faced with severe tests including physical and verbal abuse from people as a result of the work we do in Christ, The Lord stepped in and saved us from our attackers. Whatever evil they plotted against us or threats they made never materialized. Therefore, my brethren, be encouraged; The Lord will take vengeance upon those who trouble you (2 Thessalonians 1:8). Hold on to Jesus Christ; He is faithfully committed to you, and your well-being. The well-being of the whole of mankind is His concern (see the promise He made through the recent vision to Muslims).

The Lord is faithful and has promised us numerous blessings for obeying Him and His Word (Deuteronomy 28:1-14), and likewise numerous dire consequences for disobedience (Deuteronomy 28:15-68). Our choice being between life and death (Romans 6:23; Deuteronomy 30:19-20); what choice do you make today? If you would like to trust in God's faithfulness and be anchored on the Solid Rock - The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ - here is a Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started. Blessed grace in Christ’s faithfulness,

Brother Glenn.

Importance of Repentance

Why We Should Repent?

The Meaning and Importance of Repentance true Christian life, empowered by the Holy Spirit, starts with a fundamental shift: repentance. This isn't just turning away from worldly desires, but a deliberate change of heart regarding sin. We don't need to be perfect before receiving the Holy Spirit; instead, the Spirit empowers us to overcome sin (Matthew 4:17).

Repentance is acknowledging our sin, wanting to forsake it, and turning away from our old ways. It’s not about achieving immediate perfection, but about having a sincere desire to live a life that honors God.

This attitude of repentance, combined with faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, is the essential starting point of our spiritual journey. It’s the foundation upon which we build our relationship with God. Unfortunately, the message of repentance is often overlooked in contemporary Christianity. While faith is emphasized, the crucial element of turning away from sin is often minimized or ignored.

It's not enough to simply believe in Jesus; we must also actively repent. A person who hears the gospel and merely intellectually acknowledges Jesus without a corresponding desire to change their sinful behavior is not truly forgiven. Forgiveness comes to those who both repent *and* believe. This is the clear message of the apostles, like Peter and Paul, who consistently preached the need for both repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

Therefore, true repentance is a turning toward God, not merely a pursuit of prosperity or healing. It's not about escaping sickness for health, or poverty for wealth. That's a distorted message. Genuine repentance means turning away from anything that opposes God in our lives and placing our faith in Jesus. Like the Thessalonians, we should turn from idols to serve the living God (1 Thessalonians 1:8-9).

An idol is anything that usurps God's rightful place in our hearts. This could be our well-being, riches, career, possessions, or even our loved ones. Just as Isaac became an idol for Abraham, anything can become an idol if it overshadows our devotion to God. Repentance is turning away from these idols and everything that prevents God from being paramount in our hearts. It's about prioritizing God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for our needs.

Even if we don't become wealthy, we can be confident that our necessities will be met when we put God first. Unfortunately, some Christians equate material wealth and good health with God's favor. This is demonstrably false, as many non-believers experience greater prosperity and health than devoted Christians. Furthermore, they lack the freedom from sin that characterizes a true follower of Christ.

The primary message of Jesus, which we must continue to share, is repentance. He instructed us to teach everything He taught. What did He teach? To turn from wrongdoing, turn toward God, and embrace the kingdom of heaven, focusing our minds on spiritual matters – righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

The Evidence Of God In Our Lives Is LOVE

Love Is All Encompassing

And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself" (Luke 10:27 ESV).

How often are we justifying our actions and words before people, but in the sight of God, we are only wasting our time (Job 38:2).

If you read a little further, you will find out that the man asked who his neighbour was. He certainly knew and might have chosen the easy part to love his family relatives or friends, but not his neighbours; this was a test actually for him when Jesus replied to him, recalling a story to him.

I believe that Christians should always take it into consideration to humble themselves and do their best to follow Christ.

We have come to an important time as He is approaching and is nearer each day to come for his children.

Let's get back to the title "love the Lord thy God." We understand that God is Pure love; it is then a prerequisite to love him back and to trust Him with our own mind and our own soul fully.

Again, if we could achieve this in our own strength, then we would not need God. This is why the Holy Spirit is present and encourages us through the scriptures to follow Jesus' steps. What can be achieved without love? Nothing.

There is more as we grow in Christ, we find out that all comes from him, and the will of Jesus in our lives is what matters.

We must learn to thank God in all situations because of our love towards Him, but also because of the warfare around us. Did you know we are surrounded by Angels but also by evil spirits? We thank God that he gave us all authority. The problem is our belief system and practical Christianity.

To love God is to respect and honor all men, as it is said in the bible. Don't worry about your enemies, just love and pray for them. God is aware even before you utter a word to him. This is how we love him, putting into action what he said and being instructed by His word through the bible.

Stephen's death is a great example: What kind of Spirit Dwelt in him? Of course, the Holy Ghost was dwelling in him.

His answers before he died were that God may not count their sins as he was stoned to death, Heaven opened, God knew about his situation, and God was glorified in Him (Acts 7:55-60) declares.

"But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together[b] at him. Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” And falling to his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep."

There will be a time when people will begin to speak to him within and will have this consciousness of it that He is living within us.
How Love Reveals Christ In Us

The Lord Jesus said, "I will be with you and in you." This is not only a fellowship but an everyday intimacy. This is where God the Father wants his children at" (John 14:20).

When we consider the scripture Luke 10:27 requires time and effort, but mostly a sincere heart is what the Lord Jesus Christ is looking for, our willingness toward him, then of course it is part of our faith toward him. Again, the Holy Spirit will help us to achieve this because there are so many temptations in our days.

Once you have been touched by Jesus's love, even if failure comes, you naturally turn to the Lord for forgiveness, and you are willing to continue in him.

Our strength comes from the Lord. In times of need, he is the only true friend to know and to understand you perfectly.

In General, some people are looking for knowledge or wisdom. Solomon talks about it and says all is vanity, it is like running after the wind, why would we want knowledge for? To impress others? So in some portion we need her, even knowledge is dangerous without practising it. We thank God that He gives as we need her.

" Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away" (1Corinthians 13:8-10).

Some may use it for their own agenda but some also will use it to help others, showing them the path of Light.

As you know there is no greater love than to give his own life for his friend we talk here of sacrificing our own time for others.

All begins in Love (Agape)and should finish in Love(Agape); this is the Christian life, the bible tells. One day, there will be no more knowledge or prophecy because all will know the Lord in His Glory. We will know him fully within and without.

If you were blessed by this message, kindly share it. We would also like to encourage those who are not saved yet to consider repenting and accepting the Lord in their lives by praying this  Prayer of Sincere Repentance. Prophetic Updates

 Prophetic Era

"Do not treat prophecies with contempt" is a direct quote from the New Testament book of 1 Thessalonians (5:20 NIV).

Dear Brethren, as some of you may know, we have been posting articles from the Lord since October 2012. We have been delivering articles, visions, and prophetic messages on this blog. Over the years, we have written on various topics, which will continue to be available on this site.

We are seeing the unfolding of Scripture with every headline News item, and the Lord Himself will give an interpretation of times as it unfolds to avoid ambiguity, confusion, and deception.

Now, the internet is abuzz with a lot of content on various biblical topics, both in written and video formats. While some people may prefer video material more than written material, we will NOT be writing articles as before, but instead we will slowly migrate to video content, and we will mainly be covering Dreams and Visions from the Lord, which will be available here and possibly on YouTube.

All our articles here find it's root in Biblical Truth and our Lord Jesus Christ being the Source of our messages, this will remain uncompromisingly so! "Let God be true and every man a liar" (Romans 3:4 NIV). It is therefore our God-ordained duty to dispense the truth ONLY as He reveals to us.

Finally, please continue to pray for this Ministry, and our team remains ready to pray for you if you have any specific prayer requests. For any further information, kindly write to us at the email address preparingforthekingdomogod@gmail.com

Blessed Regards

Authority and Controlling Others

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”(Proverbs 29:2 NKJV).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: PLEASE TAKE NOTE WE WILL BE POSTING AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE NEXT WEEK!

Let’s face it: many weak-willed people around us need continuous guidance and correction (2 Timothy 3:6-7). In my observation, such people always need the approval of others in order to be more comfortable with their decisions and choices. This has unfortunately led to the mistreatment of such people financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Brethren, we must also remember that life have been so design to allow for the measure of control and authority (Genesis 1:28; 3:16). The Lord told me that how we exercise this duty is largely dependent on how we would like to be treated if we place ourselves in the other's position (Matthew 7:12) and we must also remember that what we dish out to others that same will be returned to us (Matthew 7:2; Luke 6:38). The solution is, exercise control and authority fairly, with love, respect and kindness and not out of feelings of hatred and malice (James 2:1-4) considering that our Judge, Christ will give us the same measure we used in our dealings with people created in His image, BE CAREFUL HOW YOU TREAT OTHERS!

Short Vision of Undue Coercion

In a very short vision this morning (July 20, 2015), I was shown a young lady speaking on her cell phone with a man. I could not hear their conversation, but the Lord made me understand that she was blackmailing him. What I further understood is that she was angrily demanding that he do something for her, and if he would not, she would take some action against him.  The Lord said we should include this type of power play in our article, and that many Christians are guilty of this kind of sin. This is the power game people play over others, and it leads to people doing things under duress, pressure, and distress.

Brethren, the Lord has shown us that when He ministered to people, He never demanded their respect or gratitude; instead, He allowed people to respond spontaneously (Luke 17:11-18). This kind of action has nothing to do with a contractual obligation; the Lord is referring to things we do for others freely without expecting something in return (Luke 6:35; Matthew 5:25).

In this article, we are going to look at authority and controlling others from a Biblical perspective. I will also share how the Lord responded to brethren who demanded submission while trying to control others. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18). He is the good shepherd, and by His authority, He died and rose again that we may have eternal life (John 10:14-18).

God’s Teaching on Family Authority

In an address to the Corinthians Church, the apostle Paul rebuked and discouraged the brethren against those who were going about using their influence of Scriptural knowledge to control how people should live in relation to their commitment to the Lord (1 Corinthians 9:12). Likewise, there are some marriage relationships where a spouse deems themselves stronger spiritually; they may try to control how the other spouse should pray, read the Bible, and witness for example. Although these are good things to encourage one another in, it can become toilsome to the person being “forced” to do it (2 Corinthians 9:7). In other words, the conviction from the Holy Spirit as a result of the gospel should govern us to discern the way of truth instead of someone else burdening it upon us (John 16:13).

Briefly, to every truly born-again Christian, the truth of the Bible holds authority over our lives and conscience. What I mean by this is that we simply submit our will to the Lord and consciously follow and allow His Word to control our actions and attitudes, while strongly believing by faith that such a submission leads to God’s approval and ultimately His blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-2; Psalm 119:133). Since God is Supreme and superior to us, He educates our conscience through His Word and teaches us to submit to Him and others whom He placed over us for our well-being (Isaiah 48:18). In terms of authority, God has given parents authority over their children (Ephesians 6:1-4; Deuteronomy 5:16) not to abuse them but to respectfully teach them in godly living. Here we see God giving parents authority with a limitation to exercise Godly values of love and respect (Titus 2:4).

Furthermore, the authority of the husband in the family relationship should be one of love and respect to both children and wife (Ephesians 5:25). Brethren, sadly, we as fathers abuse this right of authority from God by being too controlling and demanding unjustified submission. On this matter, judge for yourself where you unjustly demand things to be done for you when you could possibly have done it yourself and still demand the right of authority; are you not abusing both your wife and God’s Word? Similarly, some wives are outright rebellious by disregarding God’s teaching on the family's unity (Ephesians 5:22-23). From experience, this kind of attitude destroys the family’s unity, love, and respect. This is what the Lord says makes for a divided home which will not stand (Mark 3:25; Proverbs 14:1); if we were to examine the relationship of every kind of problem in the house, wouldn’t the marriage hold together when we apply Scripture (Colossians 1:17)? I know that this kind of teaching is unacceptable to a wife who is influenced by the modern worldly view; but for those who enjoy a happy family unit, it is a crown of God’s blessing which overflows in peace in that house (Haggai 2:9). Although human quarrels start as a result of an individual’s self-interest (James 4:1), family feuds are avoided and destroyed by submission to God’s authority and in this case, Scriptural instruction (2 Timothy 3:16).

Controlling Others is Sinful

The apostle Paul had been given authority, but it was for building up the body of Christ, not for tearing it down (1 Corinthians 13:10). As we know, it is easy to exercise control over those under our authority. This might be our congregation, family, or work subordinates with authority given by our position. God is interested in exactly how fairly and honestly we exercise our authority and our attitude in guiding others. The apostle Paul warned employers not to mistreat their workers, but to treat them with respect, considering that the Lord exercises an authority of love and respect over us (Ephesians 5:25; Colossians 4:1). In emphasis, Christian employers are even admonished to treat their fellow brethren who work for them with Godly love as brothers in Christ (Philemon 1:16-17).

In addressing a problem of controlling others in our ministry, some time ago, the Lord Jesus Christ showed Charis in a vision how someone in our ministry was busy controlling the finances and the way the other person should live. This message and teaching from the Lord was very sobering as He taught us not to take advantage of those who live under our authority by using their ignorance to benefit us. In other words, this sister was guilty of making the other person believe and do only what she said, and this was gross abuse, which displeased the Lord. It is very unjust and humanly wicked to use the fear or respect others have for us to exploit them for our benefit. In a separate message to someone else, the Lord both warned and encouraged a brother not to fear people, as this would open the door for controlling others, or others to control you. For the Lord's sake, we are called to submit to every human authority and respect those over us (1 Peter 2:13; 1 Timothy 6:1-2). Therefore, I am not encouraging rebellion here, but people will often take advantage when we are too submissive due to our fear of them. When we allow such people to rule over us, we create a burden that may restrict and limit us, as well as blind us to truth.

God Gives Us Free Will

We have had quite a few people requesting us to ask the Lord how they should help our ministry or others; in a gentle message to them, the Lord admonished them to listen to the Holy Spirit for He would guide them in making a decision that is void of pressure and demand (Exodus 25:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7). Scripturally, while our Lord Jesus Christ is Lord over all the human race (John 17:2), He never exercises undue authority over us unless we were wrong and intent on harming others (Romans 14:9; Daniel 3:16). The enemy often uses deception to mislead people, but he also uses coercion, manipulation, and force (Job 1:13-19; 2:7; Matthew 27:40; Matthew 16:22-23). The Lord, however, has given us free will, and He operates with us on the principle of choices and consequences (Deuteronomy 30:19-20; Joshua 24:15; Galatians 6:7-8). The Lord Jesus Himself, as we mentioned previously, never demanded that people follow Him; He simply shared with us Truth and the choice to either obey Him and enter everlasting life, or follow Satan's deceptions and suffer the consequences (Matthew 5:20; 7:13-14; 10:32-33; Matthew 18:8-9; John 3:3; Revelation 21:6-8).

In conclusion, I am a product of Bible school teaching, and I warmly appreciate the culture of Biblical learning, which well-intentioned men and women of God teach. However, the problem with some Bible institutions is that they teach formulas that promote financial gain and the pursuit of prestige through the pastoral qualification. The end result of such a student is only Biblical knowledge and a demand for submission to them with NO fruit of the Spirit. Submission to our spiritual leaders is good, but we are equally warned to discern truth and motives and apply what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:12, 21). In this regard, our submission is to the Word of God that our leaders proclaim; we must give them respect but NOT submission to their will for our lives (Matthew 23:3). Our total submission in word, will, and deed should only be to Christ.

Have you been wrongly using your authority to control others? Have you been neglecting to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in making decisions and allow the Word of God to control your actions and attitudes? If so, please repent. To accept Jesus Christ, who has the authority to give you eternal life (John 17:2; John 5:21; John 3:16), as your Lord and Saviour, please begin by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. Being Unshaken In Your Commitment

 Courage To Endure

NEW VISION IN VISION SECTION!

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Ephesians 6:11-16).

Brethren, at the beginning of our ministry, the Lord sends us on a mission to recruit believing Christians to pray, witness, and fellowship with us. When some of the brethren realize that the Lord was indeed speaking to us, they joined our home fellowship in their numbers. Sadly, but true, most thought that the Lord would just bless them and answer their prayers without laboring for it in prayer and commitment. Sadly, most of the once powerful witnesses and prayer partners we had could not keep their faith and endure the race but rejoined the world (

Often, we would be required to inquire from the Lord for them regarding their needs, and their struggles. Knowing their hearts, the Lord would issue an encouraging rebuke for getting one's life on track with Christ is more important than our struggles or needs (Matthew 6:33). Realistically, it is not an easy journey to follow Christ (1 Corinthians 15:58), we would have to endure ridicule, hardships, and various attacks whether it being at school, work or any other place of activity. The devil, being cunning in his ways, will ensure that you receive your dose of temptation, insults from others, and even false accusations (1 Peter 5:8-9). Therefore, if you are weak and you don't show commitment you will join those who ridiculed and mock you, as that is the devil's aim to break your resistance, discourage you, and cause you to abandon your faith.

Conquering Ridicule

A few years ago, after I accepted the Lord as my Saviour, the joy and excitement of my new faith led me to share my experience with my colleagues. As it was, little did I know that I would become their laughing stock? On many occasions when I enter my workstation I would be greeted with mocking laughter. In return, I would greet them confidently and cheerfully to avoid being oppressed by discouragement.

Furthermore, by displaying such boldness, I noticed how shamefully they appear for their actions and by the grace of the Lord, many sought my company and confided in me. Brethren, it is not a weakness to serve Christ our Lord, nor should we allow being ashamed of what we believe. Our way of life is being envied by the fearful, the double-minded, the confused, and the unbelievers. Thus, those who are not Christians are won over by our boldness and our active works of faith and that is a true and fearless commitment. As a truly born-again Christian, we stand and live by what we believe and the Lord will always stand by us in all our struggles (Acts 18:9; 27:24). in conclusion, there is therefore no substitute than the putting on of God's full armor with persistent prayers for our daily struggles and service, this is how our faith conquers.

Blessed Love

Being Persecuted For Being A Servant Of Christ

IF YOU WERE ACCUSED OF BEING A CHRISTIAN, WOULD YOU BE FOUND GUILTY?

NEW VISION please find it here or if the link is broken kindly find it on our "Latest Vision's" page.

Dear brethren, this brief message was prepared for us by Charis, please be blessed as you read it as we have been. Let us continue to pray for one another, times like these requires prayers, some faith, steadfastness, and humble perseverance.

now as for today's message, I was watching something on the news a few days ago and this very question came up. It really got me thinking about my own Spiritual walk with God.

Today I want us to ask ourselves this question, as we analyze ourselves:

·        Am I reading my bible faithfully? And if so am I doing so because I have to or for God’s glory (1st Corinthians 10:31: Well, whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for God’s glory.)?

·        Am I praying only because I have to (Philippians 4:6 and James 5:16)?

·        Do I share my faith with others or am I shy of criticism (Mark 16:15-16)?

·        Do I offer the other cheek when being insulted or do I act in defence in order to protect my feelings by insulting back (Matthew 5:38-40)?

·        Do I judge people who openly sin and apply my own sinful standards whilst I’m sinning in the dark (John 8:1-8)? Often, some weak-willed Christians are being discouraged by those who pretend to 'better' than others by pointing finger at the sins of others. We know the Bible says we must rebuke others in a gentle spirit and with love and not in a hateful and 'better than thou attitude' (Galatians 6:1) often the one who judges others is the one who will himself be excluded from God's Kingdom (Luke 18:12-14).

Would we be found guilty or walk free?

Brother and Sisters, today we would like to encourage you to get in touch with God in a solemn and dedicated way and this we do by really calling upon him for that priceless relationship. We read in Jeremiah 33:3 where God tells us to call on him and he will answer us, he will show us great and mighty things that we know not of. Also in 1Peter 1, we are called upon to live a Holy life.

Furthermore, 1Peter 2:12 we are told: “Your conduct among the heathen should be so good that when they accuse you of being evildoers, they will have to recognise your good deeds and so praise God on the Day of his coming.”

Blessed Love and A Blessed Merry Christmas to all God's dearly loved Children

Feasting On God's Word Daily

Living In The Word

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my wordshall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

Dear brothers and sisters, it has been EMPHASIZED many times in this ministry and in most articles on this website that Reading the Word of God is very important, and in this article, we would like to elaborate on some of the reasons why it is so important to stay in the Word.

Simply stated, the Holy Bible is like food for the soul and the soul needs good spiritual food in order for it to grow in faith, obedience and as a defense against demonic attacks (Matthew 4:4), if we do not feed our soul with the good nutritious spiritual food we will not grow very well in our faith and our relationship with the Lord. As it is, some people spend a lot of time and money looking after the physical being which is temporary, and neglect the spirit and the soul which will live for eternity. Don’t get us wrong there is nothing wrong with looking after your physical being but we also need to nourish and feed our spiritual being as well, even more so than the physical (Luke 12:23).

In the Gospel of John the Lord Jesus declared, “Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:13 KJV).

Now, what is our Lord Jesus talking about here? Of course, the Lord is referring to the Holy Spirit (John 7:37-39). He has been and is still giving the Holy Spirit to all believers as God’s first ‘down payment’ for our guaranteed (should we endure) salvation (1 Corinthians 1:21-22). Furthermore, we know that the Precious Spirit of the Lord works on our knowledge of God’s Word (Romans 10:17) to produce faith and fruit in our lives (John 15:4) to reproduce works of obedience.

Reading The Word of God

Brethren, this fact cannot be over-emphasized that we spend time in the Word of God daily because our salvation depends on this act of obedience, and by so doing; it keeps the Lord very close to us and our needs. In Malachi 3:16-17, we read, “Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him”.

And again in Revelations 1:3 we read “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand”.

We believe that this preceding scripture is not just talking about reading the book of Revelations but also the reading of the entire Bible on a daily basis and by doing that we will be blessed with knowledge, wisdom, prophecy, healing, faith and so many more great blessings. As we know, everything we need to know to work out our salvation with the Lord is in His Word.

Finally, as humble servants of the Lord, let us follow the Bible instructions in our walk with the Lord and He is faithful will impart Wisdom, knowledge, and His fear in our lives. By being exposed to the Scriptures daily, the Lord will reveal many things that are hidden in the scriptures which we can apply to our daily lives and which are profitable in any situation we may face. The Bible has the layers of the past, present, and future written into it so there is a prophecy that is yet to happen even in the old testament.

By being closer to God we will be able to “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7KJV).

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please pray this Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Blessed Peace,

Beware Of False Prophecies

 End-Time False Prophecies

  • "Warns that many false prophets will arise and lead many astray" (Matthew 24:11 NIV).

VISIONS: Please check out our latest Visions here

Brethren, there has been a surge in predictions in recent weeks that the LORD JESUS CHRIST will come during 23 to 24th September 2025 which is coinciding with the Jewish Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah. Traditionally, many brethren throughout the years have been using this particular Jewish holy day to predict the BLESSED RAPTURE. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul warned us not to follow or observe the the Jewish religious holidays (Colossians 2:16). Additionally, in some instances the brethren have come up with clever mathematical calculations to bolster their position to convince the faithful.

As it is, some brethren have even gone as far as using 1Thessalonians 5:4 as justification that believers do know the Day of the Lord while ignoring the numerous verse (Revelation 16:15; Matthew 24:43; 1Thessalonians 5:2) and the very Words of our LORD JESUS CHRIST who Himself said "No one knows the Day nor the hour, not even the Son" (Matthew 24:36 NIV) which clearly debunk this myth and this teaching is so pernicious that it undermines the very Authority and Holiness of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who said "Heaven and earth will pass away but My Words will never pass away" (Matthew 24:35 NIV).

Therefore, as sincere and exciting this might appear to the faithful, the LORD is not pleased with teachings which bear and spread false witnessing (Proverbs 6:16-19) to draw attention to themselves. Sad but true, these brethren will be exposed when the above dates have passed without the rapture having taken place.

While, we are all excited and waiting for that BLESSED DAY, we should NOT draw false attention to our faith through Rapture date setting which the non-Christians and unbelieving use as an excuse to vilify and undermine our faith and doubt the authenticity of the Holy Spirit Inspired Scriptures. Furthermore, those brethren who genuinely received revelatory dreams and visions are given to encourage the body of believers, while we who are mature know that the LORD has shut-out dates for the Rapture and His Second Coming (Acts 1:7; Matthew 25:13).

Unfortunately, no Biblical Prophetic utterances ever required the human intellect or human reasoning unless the LORD provides a revelation (2 Peter 1:21). In conclusion, the LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL NOT COME ON SEPTEMBER 23 or 24th

Blessed Grace

Sinning In Secret

Being Weak Requires Us To Resist Sin

“He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion” (Proverbs 28:13 NIV). "...for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known".

Brethren, this week's article essentially appeals to born-again Christians and being the minister on this platform, it was revealed to us by the Lord that there are some Christian folk in general who sins shamelessly in secret. In a vision, I heard the Lord saying about those who sin in secret, "For that is when sinful behaviour is utterly expressed and when human desire is being fulfilled".  Did you ever hear somebody say, “I am just human and I am weak, so I sinned”? This is a very common excuse that most of us make after we opted to disobey the Lord and commit a sinful offence, isn’t it? Well, it is true, we are weak and just human, but the word of the Lord says, “Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, And whose deeds are done in a dark place, And they say, "Who sees us?" or "Who knows us?" (Isaiah 29:15). Brethren, by writing these articles does not mean that we are not human or have struggled against the deceitfulness of sin, instead of being in this sinful body (Romans 7:24) requires us to be on our guard against the deceitfulness and addictions of sinful habits. As Christians, we have been called to wage war against sinful desires by not giving in to its passions of lusts (Galatians 5:16-17).

Our Daily Struggle Against Sin

Scripturally, we are not guaranteed a smooth path without any hindrance from sin (Genesis 4:7), we are however commanded to master it (1 Corinthians 9:27) and such mastery over sin comes through a consciousness of sin's presence and tempting advances. You may ask, how do I recognize that I am about to sin? Sin is driven by our desires and urges and it appeals to what may benefit our physical nature (James 1:14-15), also our urges defies all logic and authority, and being opportunistic, sin often creates inflated feelings with strong urges to gratify the passions we experience at the opportunity. To present a point with a strong argument, urges and passions to sin are always present in us, however, the Holy Spirit who convicts us, helps us overcome sin (Ephesians 5:18-21). Furthermore, we need to add, sin operates much more powerful when there is no restraint, in other words, sin is laid bare and operates unashamedly when it happens in secret (Ephesians 5:12) and every Christian who loves sinning operates in the dark (secretly) (John 3:20). Below, we share a short testimony of a brother who sinned secretly, take heed and be warned!

Additionally, with permission, a very close brother whom I greatly admire in the Lord recently shared with me how the Lord gave him a strong rebuke for sinning secretly. In his experience, brother J recalled how he opened his soul to shameful and appalling sin in secret and the more he realized that nobody was seeing him the more he engaged in this sickening habit. He further described that the more he indulged, the more his soul yearned for more and more, and after the defilement of his righteous soul, he felt guilty and the urge to repent like Adam and Eve in the Lord’s garden (Genesis 3:8) and after repenting, he did not escape the Lord’s rebuke.

Now, without giving too much detail he said that the Lord appeared in a vision to him and told him that he acted flippantly and that he did not take his salvation serious and the Lord further told him that he may have deleted those offensive files from his notebook, but the guilt of his conscience cannot be erased or deleted. Brethren, we can tell that this brother is living very close to the Lord and the rebuke he received from the Lord is proof that his actions greatly displeased and hurt the Lord.

In closing, are you operating in the dark (secretly) and flippant at the expense of your salvation? We urge you not to allow the secret addiction(s) of sin to drive you underground and away from the love of the Lord. Like our brother J, repent and join the light to receive favor and forgiveness (2 Corinthians 4:6; John 8:12). Therefore, let us not allow the weakness of our disobedient attitude as an excuse to sin.

Finally, if you are not yet born again, here is a Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Does God Punish His Children?

Godly Discipline Results In Godly Fear

"FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE PUNISHES EVERY SON WHOM HE ACCEPTS” (Hebrews 12:6 NASB).

VISION OF HELL by Claudia (12/09/2021).

I had a vision from the Lord this morning, I saw myself with four other ladies standing on some balcony of a huge building with a stairway going down. The Lord appeared in a cloud in the air and said to us, "I want you to experience a full day in Hell". Almost immediately after the Lord's words, I found myself walking down these stairways, and as I descended further down I noticed a very dark place, and as we entered it I was met by a very, very foul smell which I'm unable to properly put into words.

This smell was so toxic I struggled breathing and sobs to breathe and it seems there was no fresh air to breathe. The Lord was still in the cloud and provided a shade of light just enough for us to see. I saw all kinds of animal type of creatures, which by their appearance looked evil and I could feel it as well. These beings could talk, but I was unable to hear what they were saying, they were laughing and tried coming towards us but could not reach us.

After just a few minutes, I prayed and pleaded with the Lord to take me out as I could not endure being in that place, and that's when I woke up and the vision ended!

A few months ago, I had a conversation with a pastor friend and one of the things we discussed was the issue of punishment. The 'feel good' gospel that we have been fed totally overlooks the authority of the scriptures on the issue of punishment. As it was, my pastor friend argued that God does not punish His children but He 'allows' things to happen as opposed to punishing his children. This assertion was based on his interpretation of Job's experience that God allowed the devil to destroy Job's possessions (Job 1:1-22; 2:1-10).

Contextually, when we read the first two chapters of the book of Job we can clearly see that Job was being tested and we know his test was based on his faith in God and that would he be able to endure the test (Job 2:9-10). In this context, the Lord gave Satan permission to test Job by destroying his earthly possessions and this is the premise from which the 'allow doctrine' emanates! Let us thus not be confused regarding the Lord allowing something to happen to test us, the Lord uses the rod of discipline or punishment when we have committed an act of disobedience (2 Samuel 11-12; Psalm 23:4). The Lord's discipline is always gracious and it is meant to humble us.

Now, our lead verse above clearly articulates that the Lord does punish a son or daughter He loves and such punishment will bring disruptions and discomfort to our lives which would not be welcome at the time but it eases God's wrath and provides favor for us with the Lord (Numbers 16:46).

As a family, we have also experienced God's punishment on us for acts of disobedience however as we confessed our sins and repented the Lord heard our prayers and granted us the relief we asked for (Judges 10:15-16). What a merciful God we serve, He holds no grudges as He is always ready to forgive us.

Having said this, we had a woman in our ministry who was in the habit of always taking her children's part and overlooking the wrongs they did. Consequently, this angered the Lord as it was not the first time she was warned by the Lord not to cover up her children's wrongs but to correct them on their sinful behavior. The Lord then issued a stern warning to her saying that God's curse was upon her. Yes, you read it right! The Lord did say to her that God's curse was upon her and this caused the woman to humble herself in God's Presence after receiving this warning and the next morning the Lord gave word that He accepted her act of humility in His Presence and forgave her (1 Kings 21:29).

Additionally, we need to remind you that the Lord of the Old Testament is still the same God, He has never changed (Hebrews 13:8). Let us thus not think the punishment was just meant for David and the Israelites, the Lord punishes His children according to our lead scripture above and given to our experiences with the Lord. Also, with people who acted outside God's will and became false witnesses, the Lord promised to punish them and we believe He did punish them. As it is, the Lord rewards obedience and not disobedience as we wrote in our 'blessings for obedience' article. finally, the Lord's punishment is not meant to cause us to stumble but that we rather walk closer with Him.

Blessed Grace
