Being Steadfast In These Uncertain Times

 Expect The Unexpected

"I say this because we live in an important time. Yes, it is now time for you to wake up from your sleep. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed" (Romans 13:11 ICB).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS IS TO REMIND YOU TO CHECK OUT THE LATEST VISIONS TAB AS WE UPDATE IT AS OFTEN AS WE RECEIVE VISIONS OR PROPHETIC MESSAGES FROM THE LORD!

Brethren, we encourage you this week with a brief article and gently remind you to be steadfast in your faith (1 Peter 5:9; James 1:12) knowing that we are presently living in extremely uncertain times. The political 'climate' is changing rapidly around the World. Let's look to Heaven, where our help comes from (Psalm 121). The world will not give us rest or peace but sorrow and hardships the bible says (John 14:27). BELIEVE ME, THE LORD IS NEAR!

On a different note, kindly allow me to share some revelations below and encourage my fellow South African brethren.

Briefly, I was shown that many Countries around the World are growing skeptical about their friendly relations with the United States of America. I certainly don't want to sound like a political commentator I'm sharing what the Lord showed me America is going to lose its influence and dominance. Why is America in this message? Presently, this country the Lord showed me enjoys the status of Babylon the Great ( Jeremiah 51).

Why am I mentioning this when we are to concentrate on the delivery of the Word of God? Well, we are mentioning it so that those who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ should not panic when the World economy is shaken again and how this is going to affect our local buying power and salaries domestically.

Don't Join Political Commentators Be Anchored In Christ

I'm addressing my fellow South African brethren, being critical of our government's failures and spewing hateful insults towards our government leaders is not going to solve the problems of our land. As Christians, we are not called to revolt, but to pray! Indeed many are the mistakes and bad decisions of our government but as discerning Christians we know who influences such bad decisions and the weapon of our warfare is prayer. As Christians, we should not be influenced or carried away by political commentators our mandate from the Lord is to pray and win souls (Jeremiah 29:7; 1 Corinthians 2:2).

Historically, during the time of the Apostles, there was a highly charged political atmosphere, however, they did not join Barnabas and others instead they were looking forward to a new life (John 18:40; Luke 24:21).

We therefore encourage, let's band together and pray for our country if we need changes and good things to happen. It is not the individual like the president we need to attack but the system from which the leadership operates and that system is embedded in racism, greed, corruption, self-gain, and hatred. As it is, our weapons are not carnal to insult individual members of the government but to pray for them (1 Timothy 2-1-2) while remembering that our struggle is NOT against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12-18).

Blessed Regards

Brother Glenn

Don't Look Down On Others

ILL-Treating Others

"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"(Matthew 7:2 NIV).

A brother was relating an incident with me about how he "lost" his job at a company where he was employed. Given his senior position of power, our brother John, (not his real name) got involved in a heated argument with one of his former colleagues over the phone, little did he know that his colleague in the other office put the phone on loudspeakers for everyone to listen.

While our Brother John was exchanging words of anger and insults to his colleague his manager was listening and just as he ended the call he was informed by his supervisor that the manager called and barred him from ever speaking to the colleague he just lambasted and he was due to attend a disciplinary hearing.

Suffering For Arrogance

As it was, our brother John explained that he felt so embarrassed and that feeling led him to simply stay away for good from work as he was unable to face his colleagues to face his shameful behavior. Being a God-fearing man, our brother John apologized to his former colleague a few weeks thereafter. Meanwhile, he started trusting the Lord for a new employment opportunity which caused him and his family financial ruin and hardship for more than a year as he was the only breadwinner.

However, during those trying times, Brother John being a grown man found himself having to learn humility and submission. While the experience was unpleasant, it brought him closer to God and his faith and works in Christ were duly awarded by the Lord he was blessed about a year thereafter with a new job which ultimately catapulted him into full-time Ministry work and an outstanding witness for Christ.

Being Taught Humility And Self-Control

While this is a true incident in every respect, our Brother John said that the humiliation he tried to inflict on his former colleague was reversed on him as he was taught humility and to exercise self-control over his emotions and his sharp tongue.

In conclusion, brethren we are to be careful how we treat others especially if we are in a favorable position of authority or if others are financially dependent on us. We are by no means superior to the less privileged for in the eyes of the Lord we are equal and we know that the Lord fights the cause of the poor (Proverbs 22:22-23; Psalm 72:4).

The Bible says, "Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18 HCSB). Let us therefore not allow our lofty positions or 'better than thou' attitudes to degrade others. Instead, we should consider that the Lord will humiliate us (Esther 6:10-11) and cause us to taste how it is to have Him against us.

Blessed Peace in Christ

Cast Aside Your Fear Of People

“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth; you have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor when he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor? (Isaiah 51:12-13)

“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

NOTICE: PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THE VISIONS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED ANYTIME THE LORD GIVES US A REVELATION. PLEASE CHECK IT OUT HERE. I WAS SHOWN THAT MULTIPLE PEACE TREATIES WILL BE SIGNED THIS YEAR TO "END THE WARS" THE VOICE SAID, BUT GOD SAID HE HAS TAKEN PEACE AWAY FROM THE EARTH, FOR WARS AND DESTRUCTIONS ARE DECREED UNTIL THE END OF TIMES (DANIEL 9:26). BRETHREN, LET PRAY AND DISCERN THE TIMES TO AVOID SUDDEN DESTRUCTION (1 THESSALONIANS 5:3).

Previously, we shared a message on fearing God, in which we mentioned the fear of man as one of the factors that can hinder us from experiencing a strong relationship with the Lord. The truth is that if you don’t have reverence and fear for God, then most certainly you will live your life in fear of man and the uncertainties of life. In this week’s message, we will emphasize what the Bible teaches us about fearing man.

As the day of the Lord’s return draws near, Christians all over the world are finding themselves encircled by a permissive society that is hostile to God’s truth (2 Timothy 3:1-4; Matthew 24:12). If you don’t agree with these “modern” lifestyles and sinful behaviors, you will find yourself being looked down upon, isolated, or even being hated. We are living in the days when we have many who “call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20 NIV). Additionally, we are seeing an upsurge of violence against Christian believers as Satan continues to use deceived individuals and false religions to discourage or destroy God’s children. These may seem like isolated incidents and the world’s media tries to “cover-up” or ignore the many cases where Christians are being targeted for persecution because of our faith. However, for those who are discerning the times, you will remember that the Lord Jesus forewarned us that there will come a time when we, His followers, will be “hated by all” for His name’s sake, and He encouraged us to endure to the end in order to be saved (Matthew 10:22; Mark 13:13). He also forewarned us to “stay awake at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36 ESV).

Should we be Afraid of Man?

The Lord created man to have free will, and He operates with us on the principle of choices and consequences (Deuteronomy 11:27-28; 30:15, 19; Joshua 24:15; Galatians 6:7-8). On the other hand, Satan uses force, coercion, manipulation, and other schemes and devices in order to force us to comply with his will (Job 1:13-18; Job 2:4, 7). Persecution of believers is not new; throughout the ages, Satan has used wicked men to abuse and misuse power in order to force their will on others. Children of God who stand firmly on God’s Truth have been threatened, excommunicated, insulted, abused, tortured, and persecuted in all forms, even by being put to death because of their faith (Hebrews 11:36-38).

In both the Old and New Testaments, we see righteous men being mistreated by others, for example, Abel being murdered by his brother Cain (Gen 4:4-10), Peter and John being beaten and threatened not to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 5:28, 40), Daniel’s three friends being thrown into a fiery furnace for disobeying a king’s order to worship an idol (Daniel 3:13-20), Jeremiah being thrown into a cistern for prophesying truth (Jeremiah 38:1-6), etc. In these examples and several others, the Lord encourages us not to fear man. As human beings, naturally, we are fixated with life here on earth, but God sees from the beginning to the end, and He is the Righteous Judge who ultimately avenges the righteous (Deuteronomy 32:35; Romans 12:19).

As King Saul experienced, fearing men can cause us to be rebellious and disobedient to the Lord, hence displeasing Him while losing His favor and promises (1 Samuel 15:1-3;10-11;17-24). Fear of man also causes us to be snared, trapped (Proverbs 29:25), and to carry out shameful things (Matthew 14:6-10).

Instead of fearing man, we should take courage in God’s Word and promise, and not given to the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). The Lord Jesus came to lay down His life for His sheep (John 10:15-17; 1 John 3:16), and He admonishes us to pray for our enemies and for those who persecute us or mistreat us (Matthew 5:44). As a result of sin, the ungodly reject the message of repentance and turning to our Lord Jesus Christ for salvation (Romans 10:16; Acts 2:38; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10), but our duty is still to love them and pray for them as the Lord commanded.

Fear of Man when Witnessing

For those of us who go out to share the gospel, there are many instances where we are threatened or kicked out of certain places and warned not to witness there. In such instances, it is important to remember that we are sharing a life-giving message, and we should therefore take courage, like Peter and John, to obey God rather than human beings (Acts 5:29). As an encouragement, some of us at times have learned to quickly walk away and leave when we see someone who seems to be walking towards us to stop us (John 10:39).

There are also times when you might feel intimidated to witness a certain person, especially if they appear to be of a higher social class. Following our Master’s example of boldly sharing the good news with the rich young ruler, we likewise are called to share without fear because the Lord Jesus is able to save all who choose to follow and obey Him (Luke 18:18-27). You may also have friends or church members who you are afraid to correct for fear of losing them. Prosperity preachers avoid rebuking sin in order to maintain members and financial offerings. However, for true children of God, it would be good to pray for deliverance from the fear of man and simply obey the Lord as He leads us to share in the love and for the sake of eternal life (Ezekiel 33:7-9). We see in the Bible that the Lord shared truth even at the departure of many of his disciples (John 6:60-66). But those who are the Lord’s will humbly accept the truth and remain in Christ (John 6:67-69), for the Lord Jesus said: “..no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them” (John 6:65).

Finally, turn away from the fear of man that you may enjoy the blessing of fearing the Lord, walking in obedience to Him (Psalm 128:1-4), trusting Him, and being kept safe (Proverbs 29:25). To begin a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, please start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Violent Christians

Being Violent is An Act Of Self-Will

“Don't be envious of evil men; neither desire to be with them for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about mischief” (Proverbs 24:1-2 WEB).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: A MAJOR TRADE WAR COMING WILL ULTIMATELY LEAD TO A WORLDWIDE FINANCIAL CRISIS. I HAVE SEEN THIS VERY CLEARLY, NATIONS AROUND THE WORLD ARE GOING TO DESERT THE US DOLLAR AS RESERVE CURRENCY AND THIS IS GOING TO AFFECT AMERICA'S GLOBAL IMAGE! LATEST VISION

Short Vision On South Africa's next Leader, you may find it here.

We will be brief in this article and it is intended to serve as a reminder that violent Christians displeases the Lord. Also, we formally wrote an article as commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ about ‘fighting’, and this was not widely welcomed by some Christians. Some wrote to us asking how they are supposed to defend themselves and their families if they are not allowed to fight in self-defence. Brethren, we can only report to what the Lord commands, and from our own experiences with the Lord and we can recall that He warned some of us not to behave violently in any manner (Malachi 2:16).

It is common knowledge that a Christian who responds violently to any given situation acts out of anger and malice (Ephesians 4:31) and as a result no good is being achieved when the force of anger is being used to settle matters, instead it creates ill feelings, disunity and an ungodly appetite for revenge. The motive does not issue not from love (Matthew 5:44) as we are being commanded, but from anger and self-will and when we responds from self-will we are not being submissive to Christ (James 4:7). Scripturally, we are being warned not to sin purposely (1 John 3:9) while bearing the Christian name, this is shameful to what the Lord Himself stood for and His followers are to imitate Him (1 John 2:6).

How The Lord Rebuked And Punished A Violent Tempered Brother

In an experience a brother had with someone else some time ago, the brother reported that he was verbally attacked by someone very close to him and without thinking he reacted violently and with evil intentions attacking his verbal abuser. We can tell you, this behaviour did not please the Lord at all, the brother was sternly rebuked and the Lord Himself issued the brother with a shameful punishment. Let me tell you, the Lord said as much as he (the brother) wanted to humiliate the other instead of obeying and forgiving like He did (1 Peter 4:14, Romans 15:3), He was going to give the brother a humbling punishment and He did as we have seen from the things the brother went through.

Like we reported elsewhere on this website and above, some Christians think that the Lord will leave them without punishment for deliberate sinning (Hebrews 10:26; 12:6) and the punishment is not always easy to bear (Genesis 4:13), but we have a sinful defect to learn from and not repeat. The application of violent force onto another person is out right humiliating and the person doing it expresses disrespectfulness and a form of dominance over the other and for this God will not leave you unpunished.

Furthermore, we know that the Lord Himself was often threatened with violence yet He never threatened back (John 8:59; 10:31). In a gesture of evil, His opponents finally brutalised His body in a show of force (John 19:1; Matthew 27:32-56) to quench their evil hate for the Lord and yet they were forgiven (Luke 23:34).

In conclusion, brethren acting violently when we are being insulted or provoked only displays the weaknesses within us, and those weaknesses exposes the deep rooted evil of Unforgiveness, grudges and hate within us (1 Peter 2:1; Ephesians 4:31). It is a fact, there are some Christians who are out right violent. And while they hide behind the legal principle of self-defence which is often legally permissible, but not Godly acceptable (1 Corinthians 10:23), our Lord commands us to refrain from all forms of violence which is often rooted in evil retribution (Colossians 3:8; Ephesians 4:30-31). I have heard many times how some Christian brethren confessed saying that if they were not Christian they would have attacked someone, what an appetite for violence and how ungodly instead of just saying, ‘I forgive you’ and act forgivingly. This actually reminds me of a situation in which a certain brethren in the Lord confessed that she forgave a certain brother for something he did, but she used that same offence the brother committed to voice her hurt, and clearly there was no forgiveness if there was, love would have been present instead of avoiding the brother who offended you. The lord said that Christians who are in such bondage will not see His Kingdom for no sin will ever be justified despite the offence, love must take over (1 Peter 4:8).

Now Brethren if you have a violent heart, stop watching violent movies that promotes a spirit of grudges and evil feelings of hatred, we encourage you to REPENT! As Christians, let us love, (John 13:34) let us forgive, let us share with our offenders (Christian or non-Christian) and this will be an expression of our true Godly love (Proverbs 25:22) and this will free us from God’s coming wrath against such offenders (John 8:32; Philippians 2:15). The price of our salvation is very high, purity and a blameless mind (Ephesians 5:27).

For those who are not saved yetIf you are willing to turn your life over to God, please start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance.
